John Krasinski is both analyst and action hero in the latest promo for Amazon's Jack Ryan series.

The brief promo for Amazon's upcoming Tom Clancy reboot shows Ryan working diligently in his job as an analyst for the CIA overseeing covert operations around the world. But in case there was any worry that Clancy's most iconic character would be stuck behind the desk the entire series, Ryan quickly finds himself caught in a deadly gunfight at an innocuous gas station.

Previously, Ryan was portrayed by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine. This incarnation will feature Krasinski's Ryan as an up and coming analyst that is sent on his very first field assignment. Krasinski is joined by mentor James Greer (Wendell Pierce) and love interest Cathy Mueller (Abbie Cornish).
