Patrick Heusinger, the breakout star of Bravo’s “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce,” is in talks to play the villain in the Paramount Pictures sequel to "Jack Reacher."

He'll join Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge and Danika Yarosh in the follow-up to the 2012 action-thriller. Although no details have been revealed about Heusinger's role, Variety reports his character is described as “the hunter.”

Directed by Ed Zwick, the sequel is based on Lee Child’s 18th Jack Reacher novel “Never Go Back,” in which the ex-military police officer returns to headquarters to find his one-time commanding officer has been arrested. Zwick and and Marshall Herskovitz wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay.

The first film grossed $218 million worldwide.
