J.K. Simmons Summoned to 'Skull Island'

The population of Kong: Skull Island increased by one with the addition of J.K. Simmons to the cast. Deadline reports the actor has signed on to play opposite Tom Hiddleston in the new take on King Kong.

Simmons' role not been revealed, but he's shown a huge rage in projects like Spider-Man, Burn After Reading, Juno and, most recently, Whiplash.

The Kings of Summer director Jordan Vogt-Roberts is helming the 3D film penned by John Gatins (Flight) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla). Universal and Legendary just announced a move from the original Nov. 4, 2016 release date back to March 10, 2017.
