After five seasons, The CW's adaptation of the popular Vertigo Comics title iZombie comes to an end next week.

The network has released its first promo for the upcoming series finale, appropriately titled "All's Well That Ends Well." The episode is written by showrunner and executive producer Rob Thomas.

The fifth and final season has explored a world where humans and zombies had achieved a fragile, tenuous peace within the show's primary setting of New Seattle. While the delicate harmony is threatened by external and internal forces, Liv, the undead protagonist, makes shocking discoveries about her human origins.

With the zombie virus poised to spread across the world, all the major plot threads of the entire series will be coming to a head in next week's series finale.

Based on the Vertigo comic book series by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred of the same name, iZombie was developed for television by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright. The series stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin and Rahul Kohli. The series finale will air on The CW on Thursday, August 1 at 8 pm ET.
