It's Kubert Month on Komikwerks.com

Official Press Release

Boston, MA - Komikwerks and Kubert School alumni have teamed up to pay tribute to comics legend and creative mentor Joe Kubert. In an effort to to draw attention to one of the greatest institutions in comics, The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic, Komikwerks is posting a gaggle of comics and animation pros' work on www.komikwerks.com for a limited time. Most contributions are from Kubert School graduates like Batman and The Spectre artist Tom Mandrake, Teen Titans animator Derrick Wyatt, The Phantom artist Graham Nolan, and Flash Gordon artist Jim Keefe. There are also comics posted from "non-Kubies", like Transformers' Pat Lee and JLA and Batman inker Aaron Sowd, who wanted to say thanks to Joe for years of promoting comics as a career.

"We were overwhelmed by the response people have shown," says Komikwerks co-founder Shannon Denton. "We've gotten emails from Kubert School grads who say 'Joe is the reason I'm artist today', or 'I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for Joe – of COURSE I'll contribute to Kubert Month!' It's been great!"

Kubert Month will last another two weeks, so drop by Komikwerks.com today and check out these great comics before Kubert Month is over!
