Almost every aspect of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia comes together to create a truly entertaining and unforgettable experience. No matter how many times one watches through the series, it's impossible not to laugh at the oftentimes despicable brand of humor that the show is known for. IASIP doesn't try to excuse the behavior of any of its characters, either – they're fully aware of how awful they are.

It's this self awareness that makes Always Sunny hilarious. But while many of the funniest and most memorable quotes involve some sort of vulgar or offensive humor, this isn't always the case. There are a ton of moments and lines of dialogue within the show that are unforgettable for just how utterly strange they are.

10 "Cat In The Wall. Now You're Talking My Language." – Charlie

In "Mac And Dennis Break Up," Dennis is seen attempting to spend time with Charlie to fill the void that his now-absent best friend leaves. Dee gets a new cat that ends up getting stuck in the wall, and this immediately interests Charlie far more than watching television with Dennis.

Charlie says that she's "talking his language" when she mentions there's a cat in the wall, and he and Frank end up shoving many, many more cats into the wall trying to lure it out. The entire situation is ridiculous, but this line in particular stands out.

9 "Not A Baby Clown, A Clown Baby – It's Like A Baby – It's Like A Clown That Is A Baby." – Dennis

In the episode "Hundred Dollar Baby," the guys get the "brilliant" idea to train Charlie for an underground fighting ring so they can make some extra cash. One of the first things they have to do is come up with a name.

They come up with the name Clown Baby, which is ridiculous as-is, but the way Dennis attempts to explain it to the man scheduling the fights is even more hilarious and strange. He asks if Dennis means a baby clown, and his explanation doesn't exactly do a good job of clearing up his confusion, as the bookmaker ends their conversation by saying, "I don't even care."

8 "That's The Vitamins Ripping Out The Inside Of Your Stomach. That's A Good Thing, Trust Me." – Mac

In "The Gang Gives Back," Mac, Dennis, and Dee have to teach inner-city children how to play basketball as part of community service. Frank shows up as well, and things between their two teams end up getting toxically competitive.

Mac has his team "fuel up" before the match, but he does so with Red Bull. When the kids complain that their stomachs hurt, he states that what they're feeling is the "vitamins ripping out the insides" of their stomach, which doesn't sound quite right.

7 "Drawing A Confession Out Of Someone Is Like Doing A Beautiful Dance... A Beautiful Dance With A Chainsaw." – Frank

In the episode "Mac Is a Serial Killer," the gang gets their suspicions about what Mac is doing in his free time away from the rest of the Gang. In reality, he's having relations with Carmen and doesn't want the others to know, so he's hiding it.

In typical Always Sunny fashion, the gang assumes the worst, that a local serial killer is actually Mac since he hasn't been to the bar much lately. This leads to one of Frank's weirder lines in the series, snapping back after Dennis tries to tell him not to bring a chainsaw with them.

6 "I Was Looking At The Horse, And The Horse Was Looking At Me, And It Hit Me, I Think, Maybe, I Was A Centaur In A Past Life." – Charlie

In "The Gang Gets Whacked (Part 1)," the boys head to a country club as part of one of Frank's schemes to make back the money that they need to pay back the mob. Charlie sees a jockey from the next-door racetrack and decides that's more interesting and heads over.

He ends up bonding with one of the horses and a jockey comments that it's surprising the horse like Charlie so much as it attacked the last stable boy. Charlie replies that it's probably because he might have been a centaur in his past life, which is more than a little odd.

5 "A Lot Of People Are Bugging Their Babies These Days... I Guess Babies Can't Be Trusted." – Frank

In "The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis," Dee and Frank get the idea to find dirt on Bruce Mathis and use it against him to try to get Frank's ex-wife's inheritance money. They bring a baby monitor with them and decide to plant it, which leads to a strangely hilarious conversation between Dee and Frank.

Dee asks if it's a baby monitor that he brought, to which he responds that babies must be up to a lot of shady things if so many people are using them. They're clearly intended to make sure babies stay safe while apart from their parents, which makes Frank's take on them all the weirder.

4 "We're Doing Him A Huge Favor! To Go From No Debt To Good Old-Fashioned American Debt? That's The Way To Do It." – Charlie

In "The Gang Gets Extreme: Home Makeover Edition," the Gang decides to "do something good" for a local family in the fashion of Extreme Home Makeover. The only problem is that they do so by breaking into their home, essentially kidnapping them, and telling them "their house is no more."

Charlie and Dennis go to the hardware store to buy supplies, with the total coming to over three thousand dollars. They then bring the husband of the house out to sign up for a credit card to pay for it, insisting that "signing up for good old-fashioned American debt" is the way to do things.

3 "I'm Recycling The Trash Into Heat For The Bar, And Lots Of Smoke For The Bar Giving The Bar The Smokey Smell We All Like." – Charlie

In "The Great Recession," Charlie has a conversation with Mac and Dennis about how to dispose of the trash. Dennis says he simply takes the trash out to the dumpster, the standard way to do so, and then asks Charlie what he does with it.

Charlie replies that he's been burning the trash to give the bar a nice, smokey smell (to no one's surprise, it just smells like trash) and additionally, that the smoke rises and turns into stars. Mac replies that absolutely none of that sounds correct, but he doesn't know enough about stars to disprove it.

2 "Salt. Sea Salt. He's A Salt Man. A Sea Salt Man. He Dives Into The Ocean For The Sea Salt, Brings It Back Up, And Then We Eat It." – Dee

dee and the dress seller always sunny

At the start of "The Waitress Is Getting Married," Dee can be seen trying on a wedding dress. As this isn't the first time she's come to try on dresses, the worker doesn't believe that she's getting married. She asks Dee what her husband's profession is, to which she replies that he's a "sea salt" man who dives into the ocean for sea salt and brings it back up. This is absolutely not how the process of obtaining sea salt for eating works, and her description is hilariously odd.

1 "It's My Character. I'm The Trash Man! I Come Out, I Throw Trash All Over The Ring. And Then, I Start Eating Garbage!" – Frank

frank as the trash man always sunny

In "The Gang Wrestles For The Troops," the Gang decides that there's nothing more American than wrestling. This leads them to decide to put on a wrestling show for returning troops. Frank comes up with a ridiculous persona known as The Trash Man, where he details how he'll come out, throw trash everywhere, and start eating garbage. He ends the quote by saying afterward he'll pick up the trash can and smash the other guy on the head.
