It: Chapter Two May Set a Record for Most Blood in a Horror Movie Scene

While details on It: Chapter Two have been kept under wraps since the film concluded late last year, star Jessica Chastain has teased it will be one of the bloodiest horror movies ever.

While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to promote Dark Phoenix, Chastain decided to reveal a behind-the-scenes spoiler from the upcoming Stephen King adaptation.

"I’m going to say something, and I think I’m going to be in trouble, but I’m going to do it," declared Chastain. "It might be a spoiler. But in the movie, there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film in a scene. And I’ll tell you, the next day I was like pulling blood out of my eyeballs. Fake blood.”

With the fellow King adaptation, The Shining, featuring an elevator opening to a river of blood, Chastain's claim is a bold one. However, given the terrifying source material, the eagerly anticipated sequel may just set a bloodletting record.
