With It: Chapter Two premiering in theaters this weekend, Warner Bros. is stepping up its game in regards to advertising. Fortnite players may have noticed the latest in-game crossover event teasing Pennywise the Clown, the villain of the It franchise, whose famous red balloons have begun popping up all over the game.Twitter user @LootLakeBR posted a video of the balloon in the battle royale game. After the user pops the balloon, which is conveniently placed over a sewer grate, Pennywise's ominous laughter plays over the speakers.
While Epic Games has not yet confirmed the crossover, fans of both the It franchise and Fortnite are hoping that there may be some more It-related content for the game down the road, such as a skin featuring the creepy clown or Georgie's famous yellow raincoat. If the game does produce more content, however, it's expected not to be too graphic as It: Chapter Two is rated R, while Fortnite is rated T for Teens.
