Thanks to the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer that debuted at Comic-Con International, we know that the Dark Knight's longtime sidekick Robin will have at least a cameo in the massive Warner Bros. movie. And by "cameo" we mean that a Robin costume, presumably belonging to a dead Boy Wonder, can be seen in the Batcave with the phrase "ha ha joke's on you Batman" spray painted on it.

This implies that we could see a flashback scene in the film wherein a villain -- most likely Jared Leto's Joker, what with the "ha ha" and all -- murders Batman's sidekick. Heroic Hollywood has heard from an unnamed source that that is the case and that director Zack Snyder's son Eli will be playing the part.

"Zack Snyder's hot shot quaterback son Eli is supposedly playing the dead Robin that was filmed with Jared Leto," writes HH's Umberto Gonzalez. At 6'0" and 174 lbs, Eli was the starting quarterback for his high school football team and will attend UCLA in the fall to study film.

It's worth noting that Eli Snyder played young versions of Leonidas and Rorschach in Snyder's "300" and "Watchmen" films and also had a small part in "Sucker Punch." It's not far-fetched to assume that Eli could suit up as Robin for a flashback scene. Gonzalez notes that the "secretive nature" surrounding "BvS" has made this tidbit hard to follow up on, so consider it nothing more than a rumor as of now.

But photographer Clay Enos, who's documented a number of Snyder's past productions, has given at least a little weight to these rumors with a tweet featuring a picture of the Snyders with a possibly telling -- or trolling -- caption.
