Now that the James Bond movies seem (temporarily) dead and Jason Bourne has run out of Matt Damon's life, at least for now, who is going to keep the cinematic world safe from nefarious forces? The answer may be The Last Airbender producer Frank Marshall, who may head up a new spy movie franchise for Universal Pictures.

Empire reports on a rumor that Marshall may produce and direct a movie based on Bourne creator Robert Ludlum's Covert One franchise, about a secret spy agency whose existence is known only by its members and the President of the United States, created shortly before the author's death and since continued by other writers. Personally, I think they should just take 24's Jack Bauer and let him loose on the big screen, instead...
