Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-Kun! is a lovely fantasy isekai anime series starring the gentle blue-haired hero Iruma Suzuki, a boy who got sold off to the Netherworld, home of the demons. But instead of getting devoured or tortured for eternity, Iruma has built a brand-new life down here in the demonic realm, which includes his academic career.

The Iruma-Kun! anime has two complete seasons under its belt, and very soon, the third season will launch, and there is a lot to remember. By now, the Iruma-Kun! anime has a lot of characters, plot threads, and even combat powers to its name, and it's not easy to keep track of all that. Fortunately, it's not too late for fans, both new and old, to brush up in time for the third season.

10 Iruma Fits The Demon King's Prophecy

Most fantasy isekai anime have a Demon King, such as Konosuba, and the Iruma-Kun! anime is no different. However, the previous king, the laid-back Derkila, is nowhere to be found, and his throne is currently empty. Ambitious demons like Sabnock Sabro aim to seize that throne, but perhaps a human will beat them there.

Incredibly, the meek human Iruma Suzuki fits the prophecy's description of who the next Demon King will be. Iruma is a boy from another world, as the prophecy says, and he also bears the Ring of Gluttony. Season 3 just might deliver some solid answers on this tantalizing possibility.

9 Iruma Suzuki Is Becoming Famous

At first, Iruma Suzuki sought to keep a low profile and blend right in with his demon classmates, but by now, Iruma simply cannot avoid the spotlight any longer. No matter where he goes or what he does, Iruma ends up being the center of attention, and he might even become the hero of the day.

This came to a head late in Season 2, when Iruma saved everyone in Walter Park from a giant chimera monster and was even interviewed on demon TV. Now everyone knows Iruma's name, and they'll be paying close attention to him in Season 3. Like it or not, he is now a celebrity.

8 Iruma's Class Must Reach Rank 4 Or Bust

Iruma belongs to the abnormal class, a unique class of students who are generally misfits or troublemakers, such as the obnoxious Valac Clara and the punkish Jazz. Against all odds, Iruma helped his classmates earn the right to use the luxurious Royal One classroom, but now they must prove their worth.

Right at the end of Season 2, the homeroom teacher Naberius Kalego issued a challenge to the abnormal class. These students must go Plus Ultra and reach Rank 4 very soon, or they will forever forfeit the right to use their beloved Royal One classroom. This will be one of Season 3's main plot threads, in fact.

7 Iruma Suzuki Has A Dark Side

Iruma is normally a timid, unassertive boy who just goes with the flow, but he actually does have a wicked side, one that took his foster grandfather Sullivan by total surprise. Demons also have a dark side, but Iruma's is a bit different.

When Iruma becomes wicked, his eyes and hair change somewhat, and he becomes a punkish, more assertive version of his usual self. In this mode, he rallied the abnormal class and led them in their effort to claim the Royal One classroom for themselves.

6 Baal & Kiriwo Are Still Out There Somewhere

Iruma has more enemies than ever, and they are more powerful than anything he could have ever imagined. His first foe was a former classmate named Kiriwo, who seemed like a shy and kind boy like Iruma until his true nature came to light. Kiriwo is the one behind the Walter Park disaster, and he's still not done.

Kiriwo is not acting alone, however. His sponsor and boss is the elusive blond demon Baal, a wicked fellow who aims to turn the Netherworld into a truly demonic realm of violence and chaos at any cost. No doubt Baal will cast a long shadow over Season 3, threatening to destroy everything Iruma holds dear.

5 Asmodeus Alice Is Still Conflicted In His Character Arc

Iruma's pompous friend Asmodeus Alice usually thinks highly of himself as the son of Netherworld aristocracy, and he tends to act in a confident, aloof manner. However, Alice is secretly insecure about the course of his life and his place in the Netherworld, even if he won't admit it.

Thus, Alice's character arc is a work in progress, and Alice's arc could go in one of many different directions in Season 3. He has forgotten to be ambitious, for example, being too protective of Iruma, and he hasn't yet learned to relax for once and enjoy himself. He has yet to find true happiness.

4 Iruma's Classmates Can Now Fight Together As Heroes

Even if Iruma's classmates have a long way to go in this department, they have at least taken their first steps toward being a true team of heroes, and that's commendable. In the Walter Park battle, several of the boys combined their strengths to take the fight to the giant monsters that were on a rampage.

It fell to powerhouses like Azazel Ameri to finish the job, but this progress is still significant. Iruma's classmates are now braver and have better teamwork than ever, which should serve them well in the challenges that lay ahead in Season 3.

3 Iruma & Azazel Ameri Are Practically Boyfriend & Girlfriend By Now

Iruma Suzuki has not yet fallen in love, and it's possible that he never will. But even so, he and his powerful, gorgeous friend Azazel Ameri are now closer than ever, and their relationship has come a long way since their meet-cute early in Season 1. In those days, Ameri never would have expected them to become friends.

By the end of Season 2, Iruma and Ameri are unofficially an item, and they both enjoyed their lovely date to the aquarium at Walter Park before the monsters attacked. They are best friends going into Season 3, and in Ameri's eyes, Iruma is someone very special. That may influence her greatly in Season 3.

2 Naberius Kalego Is Iruma's Summon

Every demon student at the Babyls school is expected to have a creature that they can summon at will, and most of Iruma's classmates passed this test without any trouble. Iruma cannot summon things under his own power, though, so he obtained an item to help.

By wild chance, Iruma's summon became his own teacher, Naberius Kalego, who was thoroughly displeased. In fact, the dignified Kalego becomes a tiny, adorable, chibi version of himself when summoned, and he would rather not have Iruma summon him again. This may be a running gag in Season 3 as well.

1 Iruma Has Experience As A Demidol

Pop idols appear in anime series such as Zombie Land Saga, and they also sometimes appear in Iruma-Kun! as well. This subplot focuses on the entertainment side of the Netherworld, with demidols being one of the most popular musical acts around. Iruma's classmate Kerori is a demidol, but she doesn't want her classmates to know that.

Meanwhile, Iruma himself has performed as a demidol along with his friends Alice and Clara, and it was a fun, albeit a bit awkward, time. Iruma doesn't mind putting on an idol outfit and making some music, though Azazel Ameri was shocked to learn about this. And Iruma just might put on another show in Season 3, too, or at least make references to this.
