Based on the comic book character of the same name, Tony Stark/Iron Man launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the first installment of his titular film trilogy in 2008. And while Tony may have died in Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man repeatedly proved himself a capable and effective hero over his time in the MCU. However, Tony rarely beat his biggest villains alone. In this video, we're going to go into ten fights that Tony needed help to win.

We're kicking our video off the climactic battle of Iron Man. Towards the end of that film, Obadiah Stane finished his Warmonger armor and used it against Tony. Over the course of their battle, Stane proved deadly, and Iron Man looked like he might not win. However, Tony asked Pepper Potts to overload Stark Industries' arc reactor, which saved the fledgling hero and took down his opponent once and for all.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters that Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Right now, there are a lot of potential directions the MCU could go in the future, though exactly which one it will take remains to be seen. That being said, Robert Downey Jr. seems unlikely to return as Tony Stark at any point soon, and the upcoming introduction of Riri Williams/Ironheart may mean that the Armored Avenger's successor will take the lead in the future.
