Iron Man 2, Green Hornet, Scott Pilgrim: Dec 16th Comic Reel

Various sites are pointing to a trio of new images from the film posted at Marvel.com. I must have deja vu because these pictures look really familiar. A solo shot of Sam Rockwell, Jon Favreau directing, and Gwenyth Paltrow sitting at a desk. These might be different angles of similar shots, but they do not strike me as new. Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight will have exclusive footage from the film tonight. A kindly Youtuber posted the tease:

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: May 7th, 2010

It's been some time since we heard from the set of the film. They've been busily shooting away while we look ahead to 2011. IESB caught some snaps of the Black Beauty, the Green Hornet's sweet ride, being towed down the highway. From the bullet holes, crushed sides and scraped body work, it looks like someone had a good time wrecking one of the many duplicate cars made for the production.

Starring Seth Rogen, release date: December 17th, 2010

Director Edgar Wright rounds out his visit to LA with what appears to be an actual still from the film. It features the main cast in costume and character, but none of the evil ex-boyfriends. Is Mary Elizabeth Winstead the most perfect person to play Ramona Flowers? Probably.

UPDATED: The photo, adjusted to be more in it's proper perspective.

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: 2010

Yesterday's scuttle turned out to be incorrect. Heat Vision got the word from Tobey Maguire, who says "I have not met with del Toro. We don't have any near future plans." This could just be a denial because nothing is signed, but considering the demands of another franchise, the "Spider-Man" actor never seemed likely. Maguire then gave the boilerplate answer actors give these days, "I love Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson, and I certainly wouldn't take myself out of the conversation ... if I was part of it. But I haven't read a script or talked to anybody about it."

Release date: December 2011

Scarlett Johansen talks with The Daily Record about playing Black Widow in "Iron Man 2," but mentions her hope to appear in "The Avengers. "I hope it will happen. I don't know if that's where it's going go but she's definitely a big part of the Avengers." Being the last film in the current cycle, "The Avengers" is the least formed. There isn't a script as such and without that, all Johansen can say is there is an option and a hope.

Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth, release date: May 2nd, 2012

Yahoo! has a brief behind the scenes clip from the film focusing on the movie's Prince Dastan as played by Jake Gyllenhaal and his toned up physique.

Release date: May 28th, 2010

MTV News spotted a statement on the offical site of actor Joseph Gatt that mentions he is "prepping for his most prominent job to date: a (secret) role in the forthcoming Marvel Studios film 'THOR.'" This has not yet been confirmed, but Gatt is clearly the sort that should be in these sorts of movies.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date May 20th, 2011

So I got a couple of questions about my apparent slam at Ambush Bug in yesterday's Comic Reel. Trying to come up with a an obscure, yet popular, but also silly hero to get a movie is hard. I've used Forbush Man before to no fanfare, so I figured Ambush Bug would be safe. I love the character and would not use him in a demeaning manner ever. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of the Booster Gold movie.
