Season 2 of Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist won't just feature the return of Finn Jones' Danny Rand; it will also see the return of Luke Cage's Simone Missick, who plays Misty Knight. Furthermore, it will add new layers to the development between her and Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing, aka the Daughters of the Dragon.

"We're kind of recalibrating Colleen... We kind of took everything away from Colleen," Henwick said during the Iron Fist panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego. "We're trying to figure out who she is without that. You don't want to make her mad... The most exciting thing for Colleen is the introduction of this thing called Daughters of the Dragon."

“Misty kind of came to hang out,” Missick laughed. “These two lovely Defenders of the neighborhood.”

“I think that they bring a side of each other that you don’t get to see otherwise,” Henwick added. “They have a very similar sense of humor. They’re tough. They’re badass. What’s not to love.”

“Misty comes to Iron Fist Season 2, where Colleen is kind of in a similar headspace. She’s not sure where she is in the world, where she fits,” Simone explained. “Misty is there to tell her to pick herself up. There is no B.S. with these two… That’s the best thing about these two women’s relationship.”

The Daughters of the Dragon are the team-up name used by Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, and the duo were frequently paired with the Heroes for Hire (Luke Cage and Iron Fist) throughout the ’70s and ’80s. Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick, debuted in Netflix’s Luke Cage. Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, debuted in Iron Fist. Both characters appeared in The Defenders and Season 2 of Luke Cage. Iron Fist and Luke Cage, one the other hand, have been partners in the comics for decades and co-leads of a number of Power Man and Iron Fist series.
