When Marvel's Iron Fist arrived in March to Netflix, one of the recurring criticisms was the fight choreography, a shortcoming that star Finn Jones admitted was due, in part, to lack of preparation time. However, it appears the series hopes to address that for its recently ordered second season.

While speaking with Inverse about Danny Rand's arc on The Defenders, Jones addressed his character's action scenes in the miniseries, which were filmed with a different choreography team and camera operator, and after the actor had already been performing choreography for six or seven months with Iron Fist.

"The way it was constructed and the way that it was directed and put together was very different," Jones said, "which I think also helped the show’s choreography."

Jones also revealed that he begins training for the second season of Iron Fist next week. "We’re at least four or five months away from shooting," he added, "so this time around, I’m being given a lot more preparation leading up to Season 2, which I think is really gonna have a huge improvement on the quality of the fight scenes in Season 2 of Iron Fist.

No release date has been announced for the second season of Iron Fist.
