As one of the greatest martial artists in the Marvel Universe, Season 2 of Netflix's Iron Fist is looking to up the ante on the action sequences and fight choreography.

In a new behind-the-scenes featurette, cast and crew provide a look at the drama's extensive fight scenes and stunt work with the action looking significantly more impressive than the lackluster action set pieces from its first season.

Stunt coordinator Clayton Barber, who had previously served as stunt coordinator on this year's Black Panther, explained that the cast trained for weeks on the upcoming season's fight sequences until the action and choreography felt natural to the performers, observing that the fights themselves had "evolved" from the previous season.

New showrunner Raven Metzner had confirmed earlier this month that star Finn Jones especially had been training for months before principal photography on the second season began at the end of last year in order for the action sequences to really standout in comparison to the previous season.

With Jones' Iron Fist and Jessica Henwick's Colleen Wing diving back into hard-hitting action, the series looks to live up to its martial arts-infused source material.

Arriving September 7 on Netflix, Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 stars Finn Jones as Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Sacha Dhawan as Davos, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Alice Eve as Mary Walker.
