Iron Fist Will Reportedly Still Appear in Future Marvel Shows

Despite the recently announced cancelation of his solo series, Iron Fist is reportedly sticking around the Marvel Universe.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show's cancelation doesn't mean that Danny Rand will be leaving the Marvel Universe. Instead, he'll appear in future shows. The exact nature of those shows -- and whether they're the much desired Daughters of the Dragon or Heroes for Hire spinoffs -- remains unknown. The report also doesn't speculate or comment on other characters from the series.

Netflix's and star Finn Jones' original statements on the cancelation were ambiguous, leaving open the possibility of the character returning, though stopping short of actually confirming the future of the show's characters. However, this report seems to indicate that Iron Fist will likely join a new series or play a role in some existing series.

Jones first appeared as Rand in the first season of Iron Fist, which debuted in 2017. He later reprised his role in The Defenders and Luke Cage Season 2. Iron Fist was the first of the streaming service's original Marvel superhero shows to be canceled, though Defenders is unlikely to receive a second season.
