A fellow Defender has officially raised a fist in solidarity with Luke Cage following the show's unexpected cancellation on Friday. Actor Finn Jones, who played Danny Rand/Iron Fist on Netflix's recently cancelled Iron Fist series, shared a photo of himself and Luke Cage's Mike Colter on Instagram.

Specifically, Jones posted a still from when Rand and Cage teamed up to take down Bushmaster's men in Luke Cage Season 2 on his Instagram. The image shows Rand's glowing knuckles against Cage's bulletproof palm. Jones' Instagram post used emojis rather than words, however, but sometimes those speak louder.

The cancellation of the two shows has fans clamoring for a Heroes for Hire spinoff featuring the two characters. And now Jones has posted an image depicting precisely the same team-up.

Regarding Iron Fist's cancellation, Netflix previously stated that the character "will live on." Jones responded similarly, posting a photo of himself as Danny Rand with the word "immortal" on it and saying that "with every end is a new beginning."

Despite an impressive second season, Luke Cage is the second Marvel Netflix show to be given the boot following Iron Fist's cancellation last week. Iron Fist will reportedly continue to appear in other Marvel shows, though there hasn't been any word yet with regards to Luke Cage's future.

Written by Notorious' Cheo Hodari Coker, Luke Cage Season 2 is currently streaming on Netflix. It stars Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Gabrielle Dennis, Mustafa Shakir and Alfre Woodard.
