Perhaps one of the biggest criticisms of Marvel's Iron Fist was the fight choreography, particularly in scenes involving star Finn Jones. However, when Danny Rand returned on The Defenders, the actor looked for more comfortable in action sequences. Jones previously acknowledged a lack of time for adequate training, something he plans to rectify for Season 2.

As evidence, a new photo has surfaced of Jones already in the gym, months ahead of the start of principal photography.

"We're at least four or five months away from shooting," Jones said in August, "so this time around, I'm being given a lot more preparation leading up to Season 2, which I think is really gonna have a huge improvement on the quality of the fight scenes in Season 2 of Iron Fist."

This indicates that filming will start around Christmas time giving Jones ample time to get into fight-mode. This preparation time is what he said helped him improve for The Defenders, which was obvious in how natural and fluid he was now looking in his action sequences.

The Defenders ended with Matt Murdock believed dead following the implosion of Midland Circle, and Danny Rand ready to become the new protector of Hell's Kitchen, and New York City, which he's embraced as his home.
