Iron Fist's Finn Jones Wants A Daughters Of The Dragon Series

With the release of "Iron Fist," Marvel's partnership with Netflix will have resulted in five seasons of television between four different shows -- all culminating later this year with the release of the "Defenders" limited series. Plenty of major Marvel street-level characters have been introduced via the Netflix shows, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, Elektra, Punisher, Kingpin and many, many more. In a recent interview with Nerdist, "Iron Fist" lead Finn Jones said that he'd be excited to see the Netflix roster expand to include the Daughters of the Dragon.

"I think it would be awesome to see a television series with the Heroes for Hire and the Daughters of the Dragon working together to take down crime," said Jones. "That would be cool."

The Daughters of the Dragon are the team-up name used by Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, and the duo were frequently paired with the Heroes for Hire (Luke Cage and Iron Fist) throughout the '70s and '80s. Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick, debuted in Netflix's "Luke Cage" last year. Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, will debut in "Iron Fist." Both characters will appear in "The Defenders," although it's still unknown if they will interact. The same can't be said for Iron Fist and Luke Cage, who have been partners in the comics for decades and co-leads of a number of "Power Man and Iron Fist" series. As half of the titular Defenders team, we know that the potential Heroes for Hire will meet and work alongside Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Henwick, who previously appeared in "Game of Thrones" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," spoke a bit about her character and the journey she goes on in the show. "Colleen goes on a pretty crazy journey alongside Danny," said Henwick. "She is very private and so I don't think that she really starts to take down her walls until halfway through the show and then you start to learn more about her background and how she ended up in New York. But definitely from the beginning, every time, he questions her."

Debuting on Netflix on March 17, “Iron Fist” is a production of Marvel Television developed by Scott Buck and starring Finn Jones as Daniel Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, David Wenham as Harold Meachum and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.
