Kickstarter-funded indie publisher Iron Circus Comics announced the delay of several titles due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The letter from the indie comic publisher stated, "Several Iron Circus Comics titles scheduled for release in the Winter and Spring 2020 seasons have been delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak in China," where many of the print service providers are located. The letter continued, "We first thought only the earliest titles would be affected but as the situation worsens, nearly every title will miss its original pub date."

The company does not want to commit to any new dates until it is certain about the health and work conditions of its Chinese vendors. The virus affected most of Iron Circus slates originally meant for release between February and July. Those releases were moving to the latter portion of the season.

"We know some coverage has already run but if you are planning any features or reviews for these titles, please check in with me for news on the new pub dates," Iron Comics continued. "While we've sent out printed ARCs for most of the above already, forthcoming digital review copy emails will have the confirmed new dates."

The letter concluded, "Everyone at Iron Circus hugely appreciates your understanding while we sort this out and ensure that our partners are doing what they need to stay safe. Many, many thanks, and do reach out any time with any questions!"

The outbreak affected the publication of Banned Book Club originally set for this month. The Harrowing of Hell and Softies were originally set for March while The Nixie of the Mill Pond was set for April. The pushback also affected Smut Peddler Presents: Silver (set for May), It's Your Funeral (set for June), Penultimate Quest and Student Ambassador (both set for release in July). Banned Book Club could be released in May as well as The Nixie.
