Iris West Gets Hospitalized in New Flash Promo

During this week's episode of "The Flash," Barry decided that Wally would be the person to save Iris in the future. Iris also discovered a new sense of courage in the episode, once she realized she couldn't die until Barry's vision was fulfilled. This sense of courage put her in crosshairs of a weapons smuggler, who almost took her life.

In this promo for next week's episode of "The Flash" titled "Touch of Death," Iris is infected by a new metahuman named Clive Yorkin. Yorkin's powers allow him to suck the life force out of people, which will land Iris in the hospital.

Wally will attempt to save her, but it looks like he will be too late. Is this a sign of things to come for Wally's training? Can Iris die before her encounter with Savitar in the future or is this just a temporary set back?

Labs work together to bring down Clive Yorkin (guest star Matthew Kevin Anderson), a criminal meta-human who is methodically killing people by causing them to decompose at an accelerated rate. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) becomes his next target but it’s Iris (Candice Patton) who is caught in the crossfire. The Flash mentors Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) and begins to elevate the newer speedster’s training to another level. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Brooke Roberts & Judalina Neira (312).
