Filmmaking partners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who last year boarded the adaptation of Robert Kirkman's Invincible, say the Universal Pictures feature will be "more dynamic" than the comic series to better fit the medium.

"We are definitely telling the classic story of Invincible, and we are doing some directorial things that will make it more dynamic than just the straight-up story," Goldberg told Mashable.

"We've come up with some conventions that I think will make it a more cinematic experience that fits in the timeframe more," he continued. "But we're not reinventing the wheel here, we're not going to massively change Invincible. The core story of that comic and the core characters are what makes it great."

Created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, Invincible debuted in 2003 from Image Comics. The series is centered on the titular teenage superhero, Mark Grayson, who inherited superpowers from his alien father, Omni-Man. Invincible has gained a fan following and critical praise over the years for honoring superhero tropes while simultaneously subverting them. The series recently wrapped up this week with Invincible #144, from Kirkman and longtime artist Ryan Ottley.
