WARNING: The following contains spoilers for the sixth episode of Invincible, "You Look Kinda Dead," streaming now on Amazon Prime.

One of the most interesting changes with Invincible moving from comic page to the small screen is the teens are a bit more mature and not just making haphazard decisions. For example, Mark Grayson is reconsidering his career as a superhero. He's finally seeing the toll it takes on his personal life, rather than just being the happy, go-lucky high-schooler from the source material. He knows that with great power comes great responsibility, and he's wondering if it's worth losing a shot at a normal life with Amber. Ironically, this train of thought helps influence a major character who decides to drop the superhero career for something more humanitarian.

Atom Eve, aka Samantha, makes a seismic shift in her career, as she's disillusioned with what superheroism requires. She meets a recovering Mark in his room, asking him for advice on what to do. However, she's surprised that he tells her to follow her heart. Eve admits rather than fighting aliens, she prefers to be out curing world hunger, irrigating deserts and stopping natural disasters. The world has enough heroes to fight alien invasions or criminals like the Lizard League, so this is Eve's way of making "a real difference."

Inspired by his support, Eve quickly leaves when Mark's mom tells him Amber and Will are there, and then gets into it with her parents. Her dad's a jerk, telling her he hates her powers and just wants her to settle down and have kids rather than partake in a "hippie" mission. Eve ignores them, jets off with her suitcases and builds a treehouse in Africa.

She then goes on missions all over the globe, stopping a volcanic lava spill, putting out forest fires and regrowing farms and lush scenes at various locations. Most importantly, as the episode winds down, a tired Eve is finally happy, embracing what she was meant to do: rebuild a broken world.

While both mediums had her upset that Rex cheated on her with Dupli-Kate, it's a bit different from the comics because Mark wasn't as wise when he told her to follow her dream. Instead, Eve was the one who actually inspired him to start thinking outside the superhero box before she flew off to save the world in a similar fashion.

There were also more romantic feelings between the two but rather than this soap-operatic drama, the Invincible series focuses more on identity and teens forging the paths they want, not their parents. It's more relatable to millennials and rebels, proving that Mark really cares for Eve like a true friend, not someone who's into her. Ultimately, it remains to be seen how long she'll stay away, but Eve definitely has a sense of fulfillment she couldn't get with the Teen Team or the Guardians of the Globe.

Invincible stars Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Whitman, Chris Diamantopoulos, Melise, Kevin Michael Richardson, Grey Griffin and Max Burkholder.
