Amazon Prime Video has assembled an amazing cast of actors for the upcoming animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's Invincible Image Comics, which follows Mark Grayson as he followed in his father's superheroic footsteps as the titular hero to save his world as he learns more about his origins and his abilities.

There are a number of confirmed heroes and villains that will already be making an appearance in the animated series, there were a few notable absences of villains that might have been saved for the live-action film that is also in development, though fans are still hoping we'll see a few of them in the upcoming Invincible adaptation from Amazon Prime Video.

10 Furnace

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - Furnace

Not much is known about the origins or identity of the criminal known as Furnace besides his frequent collaboration with the criminal organization known as the Order, which already has a few other members slated to appear on the adult animated series.

While Furnace not only looks cool with his powerful armor and abilities, but he is fairly untapped which would give the animated series room to explore the character more. Plus, watching him get upset every time Invincible destroys his incredibly expensive armor would only add to the humor.

9 Walking Dread

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - The Walking Dread

The Image Comics' series became known for its familiarity with pop culture due to Mark Grayson's particular tastes, though the series was also filled with writer Kirkman's own referential jokes that poked fun at other popular works of his, including the hit zombie series-turned-TV sensation The Walking Dead.

The powerful but mysterious character known as the Walking Dread first appeared in the pages of the Invincible spin-off that followed the Guardians of the Globe before appearing in the main series, and fans would love to see that same humorous take on villains extended to the animated series.

8 The Lizard League

The Lizard League fighting Invincible

Invincible was filled with characters that spoofed other Marvel and DC archetypes that led to the creation of the Lizard League, an homage of Marvel's Serpent Society right down to the animal-themed names and costumes. The Lizard League was comprised of characters like King Lizard, Komodo Dragon, Salamander, Iguana, and armies of nameless lizard henchman.

However, they soon grew into their own as a recurring threat that turned incredibly dangerous when some of Invincible's allies were killed. While the animated series has shown the arrival of the recurring alien Flaxan threat and the Martians, a more Earth-bound terrorist threat would only add to the animated series.

7 Tether Tyrant & Magmaniac

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - Magmaniac and Tether Tyrant

Two villains that were also allied with The Order's leaders like Titan and Machinehead (both of whom will appear on the animated series) are Tether Tyrant and Magmaniac, who also work together as criminal partners.

Not only is their personal life perfect for further development as troubled criminals just struggling to keep an apartment together, but fans would love to see Tether Tyrant's unique bond with the alien weapon he wears explored in the animated series, as it ultimately takes over the criminal and makes him an even bigger threat.

6 Octoboss

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - Octoboss

Octoboss was an exiled inter-planetary monster who appeared a few times over the course of the Invincible comic series as the leader of the Squidmen, where it was eventually revealed that Octoboss was committing crimes and stealing technology with the hopes of finding a way back to their home to take control.

It took a while to discover Octoboss' true goals as he had to learn English first, which he was quick to point out when a hero criticized his speech. Octoboss has an amazing design and comes equipped with a faceless army for punching that Invincible excels within any medium.

5 Volcanikka

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - Volcanikka

Doc Seismic was a recurring villain of Invincible's who will be appearing in the animated series, though the character went through a number of changes over the years that included his discovery of an underground race of creatures known as Magmanites that chose him to be their leader.

However, his new role came with a cost, and he was transformed by Volcanikka, the powerful creator of the Magmanites to help conquer the surface world. Volcanikka is another character that wasn't explored much whose design would look amazing in the animated series alongside Seismic's altered form.

4 Mister Liu

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - Mister Liu

Mister Liu made appearances in both Invincible and Robert Kirkman, Benito Cereno, and Ransom Getty's Guarding the Globe as one of the founders of The Order who frequently engages in confrontations with other members like Titan after their rivalry formed in Invincible.

Mister Liu has had his life extended with technology in order to keep his soul dragon imprisoned after it was trapped during an ancient ritual. Liu can use the power of the dragon in battle, which would be a fantastic addition to the animated series that further developed The Order.

3 Dinosaurus

Dinosaurus fighting invincible above other fallen heroes

One of the most conflicted villains who briefly became a powerful ally of Invincible was David Anders/Dinosaurus, a young man who transformed when he was bored into a powerful and brilliant T-Rex form who was dedicated to stopping humanity from destroying the planet.

Invincible began to work with Dinosaurus because he actually had a number of great ideas to save the planet, though his extreme methods needed to be tempered by Grayson's own compassion. Dinosaurus was a unique villain that made Invincible question his own goals, though was also able to hold his own against Invincible when push came to shove.

2 Viltrumites

INVINCIBLE VILLAINS - Conquest and Thragg

Mark Grayson and his father Nolan/Omni-Man are both members of the incredibly powerful alien race known as the Viltrumites, who play an incredibly large role in the story of Invincible that takes him and his father to the stars where they take part in a number of epic cosmic battles.

This has been teased with the confirmed inclusion of the Colation of Planets' Allen the Alien, though the series has yet to confirm any of Invincible's most powerful Viltrumites, like Conquest or their leader, Grand Regent Thragg.

1 Angstrom Levy

Angstrom Levy looking angry from the Invincible universe

One of the biggest villains missing from the confirmed list of characters on Amazon Prime Video's animated adaptation of Invincible is Angstrom Levy, who embarks on a mission of revenge against Invincible using his dimension-hopping portals to learn Invincible's secrets and become one of the character's deadliest villains.

Since Angstrom Levy appears a number of times in the comics that developed his reason for vengeance and ultimate transformation and led to some of the most shocking moments in the series, it's possible the absence of Levy in the animated series is due to the live-action film in development, or his role is simply being kept secret from fans.
