Inuyasha is a popular manga and anime series made famous in North America thanks to Cartoon Network/Adult Swim. The show is considered a classic and treaded several genres over the span of seven seasons. And that doesn't even include Inuyasha: The Final Act, the official 26-episode conclusion to the story of the Dog Demon and his friends.

Though Inuyasha garnered millions of fans around the globe, the original 167-episode series wasn't flawless. Whether they're fillers or pointless story arcs, it's no surprise that not every entry is a winner. Let's take a peek at the 10 worst episodes of Inuyasha (according to IMDb).

10 The Panther Tribe and the Two Swords of the Fang | Rating: 6.9

The Panther Devas had revived the Panther King's body with the Sacred Jewel shards they had stolen from Kagome. However, the demon chose to absorb the souls of Shunran, Shuran, and Karan in order to be wholly resurrected. Despite their glaring differences, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru hesitantly teamed up to battle the Panther King.

Sesshomaru used his Tenseiga to remove the souls of the panthers from the King's body and Inuyasha finished the job by destroying him completely. The Panther Devas decided to go home after Toran agreed that there was no need to continue waging war against the dog demons.

9 The Female Wolf-Demon and the Lunar Rainbow Promise | Rating: 6.9

A female wolf demon named Ayame tracked Koga down so they could finally get married. He had saved her as a young girl and promised to marry her in the future, but had since forgotten. The rainbow in the title referred to the "lunar rainbow" she had seen while Koga carried her home. Despite this, Koga insisted that he was in love with Kagome.

A Hair Monster that was part of Naraku's body emerged and attacked Ayame, then went after Inuyasha's crew to steal their Sacred Jewel shards. Koga saved Kagome, which made Ayame jealous. She then confronted the pair and reminded Koga of his promise.

8 Shippo's New Technique, The Heart Scar! | Rating: 6.9

Shippo encountered a group of fox demons that thought he was the leader of Inuyasha's team. They prompted him to display some of his power, so he asked Inuyasha to teach him Wind Scar, but his attempt was futile. After that, Shippo ran into a lizard demon terrorizing the village, but couldn't defeat him.

The fox demons were later seen throwing acorns at Mizuki, Shippo's love interest at the time, and he accidentally knocked her into a river. She found out Shippo's was to blame, so she proclaimed her hatred towards him and fled. The lizard demon returned and a frustrated, heartbroken Shippo learned a new technique called Heart Scar. They were able to defeat the demon and Miroku converted it into a regular lizard.

7 Chokyukai and the Abducted Bride | Rating: 6.8

A man named Kisuke asked for help when women were being abducted by demons using a diadem to manipulate them. The remaining women resorted to seeking refuge in a cave. Inuyasha and his team challenged the creature, which was a boar demon named Chokyukai, and his servants.

Chokyukai placed one of his headbands on Kagome's head and took her to his castle after persuading her to fall in love with him. The protagonists were able to defeat the boar and banish him. They rescued the women, but Miroku flirted and begged them to have his children. They found this disturbing and hilariously brushed him off.

6 Bishojo Shimai no Deshiiri Shigan | Rating: 6.8

The title of this episode translates to "The Beautiful Sister Apprentices". In it, Sango repaired the Hiraikotsu weapon at her village before two young girls asked her for help. Suzuna and Serina revealed that they were ninjas stealing weapons made of demon parts. Their village had been demolished by demons and the girls lost their father in the attack.

All of the remains that the girls lugged around attracted a hoard of demons and Sango protected them. However, the sheer amount of enemies overwhelmed her, but her friends arrived just in time to finish the job. Serina and Suzuna left after heeding Sango's advice to ditch the ninja business and be happy.

5 Koga's Bride-to-Be | Rating: 6.8

Ayame told Kagome about her purpose for chasing down Koga. Her grandfather believed that their union would help bring the wolf demon tribes together. Unfortunately, the Hair Monster managed to locate Ayame, Koga, and Kagome. Koga was able to destroy the creature, but it uttered a revelation at the last second. Apparently, Naraku had abandoned his mouth incarnation in a castle.

Ayame pointed out that Kagome didn't love Koga and he remembered the marriage promise he had made. Nevertheless, his main objective was to kill Naraku. Ayame understood this goal of his but noted that she would never give up on Koga.

4 Totosai's Rigid Training Recap | Rating: 6.8

Inuyasha required Totosai's aid in terms of proper training to break through Naraku's barrier. He went to the sword-smith and encountered a lynx demon named Bunza that was coincidentally also searching for Totosai. He needed to become strong enough to defeat a demon named Nanafushi that had been terrorizing his tribe.

Inuyasha ended up helping Bunza exterminate Nanafushi and they returned to Totosai for training... only to discover that his lesson involved them preparing a bath—something that the sword-smith was too lazy to do himself. There was ultimately no reason for the episode aside from Totosai asking Myoga to gift Inuyasha with the barrier-breaking method.

3 Koga and Sesshomaru: A Dangerous Encounter | Rating: 6.7

While on a hunt for food, Hakkaku, Ginta, and their clan bumped into Sesshomaru and his team. Rin claimed she had been attacked by those same wolves and Sesshomaru's demonic aura spooked the clan enough to send them running.

Later, as they headed towards a river with Koga, they sensed the same aura that had previously terrified them. They tried to convince Koga to wander down a different direction, but with no success. While Koga and Sesshomaru did cross paths, nothing epic actually occurred. There was no battle and Koga deemed it unnecessary to initiate any sort of hostile confrontation.

2 The Suspicious Faith Healer and the Black Kirara | Rating: 6.5

Inuyasha and his team encountered a village where a faith healer by the name of Tesso had ousted a Nekomata (a cat with two tails) named Kuroro. Tesso claimed that cats with two tails were bad luck. Along this journey, the team came across a girl named Koume who happened to be searching for the animal. She mistakenly assumed Kirara was the village's cat at first.

Tesso ended up being a petty rat demon with a hatred for cats. He wished to devour the village and Koume, but Inuyasha and the gang destroyed him. Kuroro returned with her kittens after the dust settled.

1 Three Spirits of the Monkey God | Rating: 6.4

The protagonists found a village that had been all but demolished by a monkey demon. This "demon" ended up being three small monkeys named Gon, Ken, and Bun. They were searching for a "Monkey God" that resided within a sacred object and they assumed the villagers had it.

The object was ultimately found being used as a weight in a pot. Miroku freed the god and an agreement was made. The Monkey God would guard the village if a shrine and regular offerings were made. However, before the team left, the Monkey God warned them of a daunting demonic aura that had passed over the village and was headed towards the Oxen-Tiger.
