It finally happened: thanks to Insomniac Games letting players wear the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse suit in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, someone has managed to recreate the iconic "Leap of Faith" scene using the PlayStation 5 game engine.Posted on Twitter by a user named Much, the video features a close shot-for-shot recreation of the Spider-Verse scene set to the tune of "What's Up Danger," from its nighttime setting to Miles swinging onto the ground then webbing back upwards onto a moving truck. Other shots hint at a bit of non-gameplay editing involved, such as the multi-image boxes of Miles falling downward and the shot of him "rising up" to an inverted New York City.RELATED: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Debuts BossLogic's Spider-Verse Variant Art

"I attempted to line up the shots as best I can, hope ya like it," Much wrote below their video. "I'm really digging #MilesMoralesPS5 at the moment - I just would like to let you know that I've been slow on posting rn since my Macbook battery is on it's last legs!" The video currently boasts seventy-five thousand likes and over eighteen thousand retweets, with some notable comments praising it, including Insomniac Games Senior Animator James Ham and renowned YouTube gamer Jacksepticeye.

The "Leap of Faith" scene — a term first mentioned by Peter B. Parker on what it takes to become Spider-Man — marks the moment in Into the Spider-Verse where Miles overcomes his insecurities about being a superhero. It's here that he finally masters control over his abilities and shows off his black and red outfit for the first time, an identity literally painted over a costume from the deceased Peter Parker of his universe. Miles' leap of faith is also quite literal, leaping off a NYC skyscraper before managing to effortlessly web-swing his way around Manhattan and jump lengthy distances over buildings, two skills he previously struggled with throughout the film.

Gamers who pre-ordered Spider-Man: Miles Morales for either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 were able to receive the Spider-Verse suit as downloadable content. The suit also came with in-game abilities that allowed Miles to mimic the aesthetics of his animated counterpart, such as stylized action words appearing when you punch or kick bad guys and being able to move around with a slower frame rate.

Developed by Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
