Into the Spider-Verse Turned Katy Perry Into a Spider-Man Fan

spider-man: into the spider-verse

Katy Perry is a best-selling, award-winning singer-songwriter with a couple of Guinness World Records -- and now, she's a Spider-Man fan. The current American Idol judge posted on Twitter that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has awoken her inner Spider-fan.

Perry complimented the film for its mix of animation, jokes that appealed to both kids and adults and moments of honest sincerity and heartfelt emotion. The singer’s quote about making the leap is a reference to the advice Jake Johnson’s Peter Parker gave Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) regarding how he would know he was ready to be Spider-Man in the movie. The quote echoes through a montage of voices in the teenager's mind as Miles prepares to take that leap of faith dressed in his own distinctive spider-suit.
