Known as the mother of the Crona, Medusa was a powerful antagonist in the series, Soul Eater. Medusa was a particular type of evil character that had no regard for others' well-being, not even her own child. She conducted experiments on Crona using Black Blood and raised Crona to be a killer. Medusa later ordered Crona to kill her to fulfill her cruel plan to take away everything Crona ever cared for. She proved to be a master manipulator with a heart as cold as stone.

His Quirk, All For One, gave him the ability to steal Quirks from others. This allowed him to combine these stolen abilities and use them in the most devastating way possible. His resentment and hatred for All Might ran so deep that he sought to enact his revenge, by all means, regardless of all the destruction and casualties that would result from it.

6 Orochimaru, The Immortality-Seeking Legendary Sannin

Orochimaru was introduced as the first major villain in the series, Naruto, to steal the Sharingan eyes from Sasuke Uchiha. While his actions are scary, his looks are even scarier. Orochimaru is a pale, golden-eyed man with fangs for teeth and slits for pupils. His creepy, snake-like appearance characterizes him, but what's worse is that he has a sadistic personality to match.

His appearance was frightening, to say the least, but his supernatural strength and power make him even scarier.

Referred to as the "Falcon of Light," Griffith was the main antagonist in the 1997 anime series, Beserk. Griffith was the leader of the mercenary group, Band of the Falcon, when his friend and confidant, Guts, decided to leave. This angered Griffith to the point of no return. He committed the heinous crime of slaughtering his entire band as a sacrifice to God Hand to be reborn as Femto, a demonic version of himself devoid of human emotion. Femto lacked morals and acted out an atrocious deed against the one Guts cared for the most.

As a monstrous, bloodthirsty leader, he put out orders to gather the citizens of the nation of East Gorteau to begin a brutal selection process where their fate would either be serving him as loyal, Nen-using soldiers or death.

Most anime fans can agree that Frieza is the most legendary anime villain of all time. He was the main antagonist in one of the biggest anime franchises in the world, Dragon Ball. Emperor of Universe 7 and arch-nemesis of the main protagonist, Goku, Frieza was a cunning, evil villain who only found pleasure in power, destruction, and death. He relished in the pain and agony of others and purposefully performed hateful deeds. Frieza was the epitome of a callous, vengeful, cold-blooded villain.
