NetherRealm Studios has released the latest gameplay trailer for its upcoming DC Comics superhero-themed fighting game, “Injustice 2.” The video focuses on the abilities and super-moves of Black Canary, the highly-trained martial artist known for her destructive sonic scream, the Canary Cry.

The video, posted by IGN, shows Black Canary going up against the likes of Deadshot and Blue Beetle (both playable characters in the game). Black Canary boasts a stun that can disorient her opponents and a scream that pushes back would-be attackers. Her Canary Cry is also used in one of her super-moves, triggering a short sequence of her kicking an opponent into the air and slamming them into the pavement below with her cry from above.

“Injustice 2” is the follow-up to “Injustice: Gods Among Us,” also developed by NetherRealm Studios, the current development team behind of the ongoing “Mortal Kombat” fighting game franchise. “Injustice: Gods Among Us” was set in an alternate DC Comics timeline in which Superman became a tyrant after the Joker tricks him into killing Lois Lane and wiping Metropolis off the map. Batman assembles a team of heroes to take down Superman. “Injustice 2” looks to continue the team-up tradition, this time with Brainiac as a central antagonist.
