The Green Man makes liberal use of his vines to whip and throw his opponents across the screen. Swamp Thing can also turn one of his arms into a length of gnarled wood to bludgeon his opponents, hurl a rock wrenched from the earth, and create duplicates of himself to chain combos and confuse his enemies. One of his super moves involves him pulling a foe underground where they are thoroughly worked over in a cavern before being spat out to the surface.

Swamp Thing first appeared in 1972 in “Swamp Thing” #1. The creature is the alter ego of the permanently transformed scientist Dr. Alec Holland, who was doused with his own bio-restorative formula in an act of corporate sabotage and sought refuge in a nearby swamp. The formula mixed Holland’s body with the surrounding swamp and transformed him into the Swamp Thing.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios, “Injustice 2” will be released May 16 Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
