Injustice 2 Concept Artist Reveals Red Hood, Power Girl & Zoom Designs

Concept artist Justin Murray has revealed three pieces of concept art for Injustice 2, featuring Red Hood, Power Girl and Professor Zoom. Murray, now a concept artist with Super Evil Megacorp, worked at NetherRealm Studios and WB Games, and indicated via Facebook that the designs were done in 2014 before he left the company.

Murray's Red Hood design looks almost similar to the final version, except the game version (part of the first DLC Fighter Pack) doesn't boast the red Batman symbol across his chest, which is more along the lines of the character in the Arkham Knight video game. His Power Girl costume remains true to the comics, but he took more liberty with Professor Zoom, whose costume boasts more black than yellow in a heavier redesign. It remains to be seen if Power Girl and Zoom will be available as downloadable content later on, with Fighter Pack 1 (available this month) boasting Starfire and Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero, as well.

Developed by NetherRealm for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the sequel to the hit 2013 video game Injustice: Gods Among Us continues the fan-favorite storyline, with Batman and his allies aiming to put the pieces of society back together, while struggling with those who want to restore Superman’s regime. However, in the midst of that chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk.

Now available in stores or via digital download, Injustice 2 features such playable characters as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Gorilla Grodd and Blue Beetle, with arenas in DC Universe locations like Gotham City, Metropolis and Atlantis.
