The Teenage Ninja Turtles leap into action in new images from NeatherRealm Studios' fighting game Injustice 2.

Shared on Twitter by studio Creative Director Ed Boom, along with the caption "Teamwork," the first screenshot depicts a nunchaku-wielding Michelangelo and a skateboard-swigning Raphael as the face off against DC Comics villain Black Manta. It's our first indication of the combo moves the brothers will use in when they finally arrive to the game.

The other image pays tribute to Mortal Kombat, which Boon created in 1992 with John Tobias in 1992. It show Raphael basking in the glory of a pizza emblazoned with the words "Caution: Toasty," an allusion to a signature line from the popular fighting game.

The heroes in a half shell are part of the third and final Fighter Pack for Injustice 2, joining in the war between the forces of Batman and Superman. The Atom (Ryan Choi) was made available for download last year, and the Enchantress (June Moon) followed just last month. These images may well hint that a trailer featuring all four four Ninja Turtles arrive soon, along with a date when the characters will be available for download.

Injustice 2: Fighter Pack 3 is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
