Injustice 2 Mobile, the spin-off of Netherrealm's Injustice series of superhero fighting games, recently got a big update that brought a hefty amount of new content to one of the more competitive free-to-play games currently on the marketInjustice 2 Mobile's 5.0 update is focused on a new support character who can transform into a wide range of different powerful animal forms. There are also a few changes to the game's leveling and star system to shake up the meta.

The new character being added to Injustice 2 Mobile is Vixen, with her appearance seemingly being based on the New Earth version of the character. Vixen can harness the power of the Tantu Totem to take on the powers of various animals. Vixen's been a member of the Birds of Prey, the Suicide Squad and even the Justice League of America. Vixen's wide range of animal-focused abilities makes her a great support character for Injustice  2 Mobile.

In Injustice 2 Mobile, Vixen can harness three distinct animal powers in battle in the form of her three passive abilities. Her level one passive is Wolf Pack, a team-wide buff that grants increased damage for every debuff applied to the currently active opponent. This makes Vixen an obvious choice to pair with a character who can apply negative effects on the enemy team, though Vixen has a way of doing this herself.

Her level two passive ability is Steel Claws, which cuts the opponent's defense with each successful jump or rush attack that Vixen performs. Vixen's level three ability, Chameleon, gives Vixen the incredibly powerful ability to negate any Class Advantages that the enemy team might have on her's. It also allows her team to deal more damage and take less damage from enemies that they'd normally have a Class Advantage over.

Vixen is a major part of the 5.0 update but not the only new content that Injustice 2 Mobile players should expect. A free gift every twenty-four hours has a chance to reward players with Hero Shards that'll allow them to unlock Suicide Squad Harley Quinn or Suicide Squad Enchantress, with both characters matching their appearances from the 2016 Suicide Squad movie. A new profile picture based on the upcoming James Gunn-directed Suicide Squad is also available for a temporary amount of time.

There's also a new Solo Raid coming in August that'll have a new mercenary boss and some possible Legendary Hero Shards. In the meantime, players can prepare for the Solo Raid by reaching the game's new level cap, which has been raised from 70 to 80. Along with the new level cap, Injustice 2 Mobile has also introduced the ability to rank characters up to seven stars to make them even more powerful.

Players can use the newly added Legendary Intergalactic Orbs to boost their characters' ranking to seven stars, unlocking a new seventh Talent slot that has the chance to be filled with new legendary talents. To get the new Legendary Intergalactic Orbs, players can trade in their other orbs or compete in new Solo Raids to earn Legendary Intergalactic Orbs.  Boosting a character's power is a great way to prepare for the upcoming content, including the Solo Raids and Vixen's upcoming Versus Challenge.

Vixen can be unlocked by completing her Versus Challenge and unlocking her Hero Shards. Vixen's also available through Early Access packs and will be unlockable once her Versus Challenge releases. The level cap increase and the ability to promote characters to seven stars are available to all players right now as part of Injustice 2 Mobile's 5.0 update.
