If you haven't picked up a copy of Injustice 2, there is good news. Injustice 2: Legendary Edition has been released, accompanied by an action-packed announcement trailer featuring the many characters in the expanded version of the fighting game.
The Legendary Edition costs the same as the original release, but boasts 13 additional characters, including Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Black Manta, Enchantress, The Atom, Darkseid, Hellboy, and all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It also comes with all of the premier skins, which play the same as existing characters, but have the looks and voices that are completely different. Those include Power Girl, White Canary, Black Lightning, Grid, Reverse Flash, Mr. Freeze, Jay Garrick, Vixen, John Stewart, Bizarro, and the new option to fight as an unmasked Bruce Wayne.
That's a ton of characters, but the Legendary Edition also includes a new mode, the "Learn Hub," which is a sort of expanded tutorial meant for players of all levels to hone their skills. The level cap will also be raised for all players, and there will be plenty of new gear for all characters.
The trailer is fast-paced, but you can catch glimpses of everyone from The Flash to Starfire wrecking each other with over-the-top super moves. It's sort of a victory lap, showing off the most outlandish characters and fighting moves, and flashing all of the games many accolades.
This is a huge release, and though the game will continue to be supported moving into the future, this is (for the foreseeable future) the "complete" edition.
Injustice 2: Legendary Edition is out now from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
