The identity behind Marvel's newest mystery character has apparently been revealed.

For its upcoming Infinity Wars event, Marvel has been teasing the debut of a new character known solely as Requiem. Covered head to toe in black armor, this character has been featured prominently in the marketing for the event, and said to be incredibly threatening to all of Marvel's universes. Before now, a face hasn't been put to their name. As it turns out, it may be someone we know quite well: Gamora's sister, Nebula.

According to the Marvel solicitations for September, the debut issue for the recently announced Asgardians of the Galaxy sees a team of Asgardian characters going head to head against the cybernetic villain. Nebula is said to have an Asgardian weapon powerful of ruling the galaxy, so it only makes sense for Asgardians to be the one to hunt her down.

The weapon possibly being referred to here could, in fact, be the "Infinity Armor" we've seen being built in recent months. Throughout Infinity Countdown, it's been shown that Requiem is forcing a Dwarf from Nivadellir to build her armor capable of holding the power of all six Infinity Stones, not unlike her Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet. If true, it's understandable why even the mighty Thor would be afraid of her and her ambitions to rule the galaxy.

Additionally, the recently announced Thanos Legacy one-shot will explore the link between father and daughter, and it's through there that we may find out more about what she plans to do with her Stones-powered armor.
