Marvel and Netflix should make more room in their trophy cases.

Thanks to Avengers: Infinity War and Lost in Space, the two entertainment conglomerates scored the most nominations for the 17th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards. Each project earned 6 nominations. Both were nominated in the major categories for film and television, as well as the Outstanding Animated Character categories for Infinity War big bad Thanos and Lost in Space's Humanoid.

The Avengers weren't the only Marvel heroes to make the list. Ant-Man and The Wasp's trippy Quantum Realm and Sony Pictures Animation's groundbreaking Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse were also nominated. It wasn't complete domination for Marvel, though; their biggest award-winner Black Panther did not receive any nominations. This comes less than a week after the film's Critics Choice Award win for Best Visual Effects.

Solo: A Star Wars Story, Ready Player One, Incredibles 2 and Krypton also netted nominations.

The VES Awards have honored innovative effects in film and television since 2002. Last year, Blade Runner 2049 and War for the Planet of the Apes swept the awards.

The Visual Effects Society Awards will be held February 5.
