Hype for Avengers: Infinity War continues to build, as the Marvel superhero epic's later trailer now boasts the third-biggest debut ever.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's second trailer garnered an astonishing 179 million views during its first 24 hours of release, finishing behind only It and -- you guessed it -- Infinity War's record-setting teaser. The second dose of superhero awesomeness was viewed more times than any other sophomore trailer in history, overtaking Disney's other box office juggernaut, Beauty and the Beast (128 million hits).
The figures provide Avengers: Infinity War yet another pre-release record, with AMC Theatres reporting the ensemble dominated even Black Panther's jaw-dropping pre-sales performance on its way to the most advance tickets purchased in history.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin. The film arrives worldwide on April 27.
