Comic book artist Stephen Byrne took to Twitter with his depiction of the moments following Thanos' iconic snap in Avengers: Infinity War.
The heartbreaking illustration presumably picks up just after Infinity War's final scene, with the remaining Avengers -- including Captain America, Okoye and Black Widow -- returning to give Shuri the bad news: her brother T'Challa is gone.
The panels pack an emotional punch for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who spent the first half of this year getting attached to the characters of Black Panther, only to have the titular character seemingly killed in the final moments of Infinity War.
Byrne regularly posts his illustrated takes on iconic pop culture characters and events to his Twitter page, with his distinct art style offering some personal flair. Whether it's Netflix's The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt or an illustration of Donald Trump at one of his rallies, speaking in front of a crowd full of the most despicable villains in entertainment, Byrne has had a take.
This image serves as a reminder that there's still plenty of fallout to come from Thanos' snap at the end of Infinity War. If it's anything like this, we're not sure we're ready for it.
