25WASN'T THIS A BETTER OPTION?

In the comics, Thanos decided to kill off half the population of the universe in order to impress Mistress Death. In Avengers: Infinity War, however, it was more about maintaining balance. The MCU Thanos made the argument that resources would eventually run out and by eliminating half the population on

every planet, people would no longer starve and would prosper without the fear of assets running short. The logic of Thanos may be cold and calculating, but he did have a point. The biggest problem is that for someone so big on efficiency, his choice to cut the population of everything by half wasn't the best idea.

After ten years of movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos was finally able to assemble the Infinity Stones, making him the most powerful being in the universe. Using this power, he killed every other being in the universe. We're able to see just how dumb this idea was thanks to this meme of Drake, in which the first panel shows an upset Drake, followed by a much happier Drake. The Drake/Thanos in the first panel shuns the much better choice, which was to make sure there's enough food and resources for everyone. The second Drake/Thanos likes this idea better: just get rid of half the people.
