Avengers: Infinity War has earned over two billion dollars worldwide, so if you haven't heard all of the spoilers for the movie by now, we hope we aren't the ones that finally ruin the movie for you! There are spoilers ahead for the film, so if you haven't seen it already, tread lightly. However, we're pretty sure by now that even if you don't know about the fate of Gamora or why Peter Quill is the most hated man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you've probably heard already about the "snap" that took the lives of half of the population of the universe.

Those that have seen Avengers: Infinity War were floored by the ending, but what are the thoughts of Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation? Did Chuck Norris survive after Thanos snapped his fingers? Did Henry Cavill's mustache from Mission: Impossible - Fallout make it out alive? What does the assembling of the Infinity Gauntlet have to do with Monster energy drink? These questions and more are answered with some pretty hilarious memes. Prepare to have your mind blown by the 25 best memes using the Infinity War "snap!" Remember, don't say we didn't warn you about spoilers!

25 WASN'T THIS A BETTER OPTION?

In the comics, Thanos decided to kill off half the population of the universe in order to impress Mistress Death. In Avengers: Infinity War, however, it was more about maintaining balance. The MCU Thanos made the argument that resources would eventually run out and by eliminating half the population on every planet, people would no longer starve and would prosper without the fear of assets running short. The logic of Thanos may be cold and calculating, but he did have a point. The biggest problem is that for someone so big on efficiency, his choice to cut the population of everything by half wasn't the best idea.

After ten years of movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos was finally able to assemble the Infinity Stones, making him the most powerful being in the universe. Using this power, he killed every other being in the universe. We're able to see just how dumb this idea was thanks to this meme of Drake, in which the first panel shows an upset Drake, followed by a much happier Drake. The Drake/Thanos in the first panel shuns the much better choice, which was to make sure there's enough food and resources for everyone. The second Drake/Thanos likes this idea better: just get rid of half the people.

24 THANOS: THE NEXT GENERATION

When Gamora warned the Guardians of the Galaxy about what's to come if Thanos collected all of the Infinity Stones, she told Quill and everyone else that Thanos would kill half the universe's population with a snap of his fingers. This is referencing the iconic panel drawn by Ron Lim in the Marvel crossover Infinity Gauntlet, in which Thanos, after collecting all of the Infinity Stones (referred to at the time in Marvel Comics as Infinity Gems), snapped his fingers and eliminated every other person in existence. The Infinity Gauntlet series came out in 1991, but someone with omnipotent powers was snapping their fingers years before this ever happened.

Fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation are familiar with the omnipotent being simply named Q, who took much pleasure in tormenting the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, Captained by Jean-Luc Picard. Q could freeze time, travel forward or backwards in time, create objects or people out of thin air and even create alternative timelines. What was Q's method of doing these things? It was a simple snap of his fingers. With a finger snap he's instantaneously changed outfits, made Data laugh as well as transport the Enterprise thousands of light years into unknown space. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, it appeared that killing half the galaxy possibly burned out the Gauntlet. Q has no problems snapping over and over again!

23 SNAP CHAT

Thanos dispatched members of the Black Order to help him retrieve the Infinity Stones that weren't in his possession. Cul Obsidian and Ebony Maw arrived on Earth in a spaceship that looked like a flying mechanical donut. It was an intimidating site to see the craft park over Manhattan, and it's never really made clear how the ship traveled from Earth to Titan. It's not teleporting the way Thanos does from place to place and perhaps it's using some sort of hyperdrive or warp drive. It's unclear what technology Thanos has access to, and after he assembled the Infinity Gauntlet, what other technology could he have possibly needed? The answer is simple: social networking!

People take photos and videos of stupid stuff all the time and place it on social media. Just ordered breakfast? Let me take a picture. Find a leaf that looks like the shape of a kitten? Video record yourself picking it up. Two strangers fighting in the street whilst cars drive by? Let me livestream it instead of calling the police. We're pretty sure that if Thor didn't attack him with Stormbreaker, Thanos would have spent a few moments to gloat and post video and photos of him with the Infinity Gauntlet to taunt the Avengers. What social network would he use? Instagram? Tumblr? Given the method that he removed half the universe's population, it seems most likely that he'd be using Snapchat!

22 OF COURSE HE'S IMMUNE

After Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, the audience watched in horror as one by one heroes began to disappear from reality. Some breathed a sigh of relief when Iron Man and Captain America were spared, others were in shock when the Black Panther turned to ash in the wind. Tony Stark held onto Spider-Man for as long as he could before Peter Parker disappeared into oblivion. Even Rocket Raccoon was saddened when he had to watch Groot die a second time in front of him. Although it's still unclear who died and who survived, it's safe to say there's one person that is too tough to die: Chuck Norris.

When the Boogeyman goes to sleep, he checks under the bed for Chuck Norris. When it comes to space travel, Chuck Norris has been to Mars; that is why there are no signs of life there. Chuck Norris is the only man to win Connect Four in just three moves. So don't worry, when Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet, not only did Chuck Norris not die, he was able to turn it around and made Thanos disappear. In fact, that is the actual story of Avengers 4. It's five minutes long and only stars Chuck Norris. We called it first in this CBR exclusive.

21 IT FEELS GOOD TO BE ALIVE!

It's exciting to watch a movie and think about what you'd do if you were in the hero's shoes. Have you argued with your friends when trying to decide if you'd be on Team Cap or Team Iron Man after watching Captain America: Civil War? Did you watch Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation and wonder if you could hold your breath for as long as Tom Cruise did underwater when he tried to hack the computer? How many of you wondered after watching Avengers: Infinity War if you were one of the trillions of life forms that were killed by Thanos after he snapped his fingers? Did you know there's a way to find out if you survived?

There's a simple yet great website that asks the question: Did Thanos kill me? By clicking on it, you'll find out whether or not Thanos spared your life. It keeps track of how you're accessing the site, so refreshing your browser won't change anything if you're unhappy with your results. If you try it amongst your Marvel friends, you may find that those that aren't spared may become extremely angry and upset that they "died." Fortunately, those that survive feel a real weight lifted off their shoulders, knowing that unlike Nick Fury, Groot, Star Lord, Doctor Strange and many others, you happened to make it to Avengers 4!

20 THANOS LOGIC

Know your memes! The "Roll Safe" meme comes from a British mockumentary entitled Hood Documentary. The main character is named Reece Simpson (also known as Roll Safe) and is played by actor Kayode Ewumi. During a conversation on camera, Simpson smiles to the camera and points at his head. Eventually it grew into the meme that shows correct, yet incorrect logic. Perhaps you've seen the meme which states you can't get fired from a job if you don't have one, or you can't be broke if you don't check your bank account. Not quite mind-blowing thoughts, but also crazy enough to make some sense.

Here in the above meme we take Roll Safe logic and apply it to Avengers: Infinity War. It would be a lot more humane to double the universe's resources than it is to kill off half the universe's population. However, Reece Simpson seems to agree with what Thanos had in mind when he wanted to bring balance to the universe. Although it's true that you don't have to feed half the population if they're dead, we don't think Simpson has what it takes to snap his fingers and carry through with the Mad Titan's plans. After all, you don't have to use the Infinity Gauntlet if you don't put on the Infinity Gauntlet. Hey, we're onto something here!

19 THEY FINALLY GOT RID OF THE MUSTACHE

Mission: Impossible - Fallout premieres July of 2018 and not only will fans see Tom Cruise play Ethan Hunt for the sixth time on the big screen, they also see The Mustache That Destroyed the Justice League! Justice League needed to do reshoots before its November 2017 premiere, but unfortunately Henry Cavill was filming Fallout at the time. The good news was he could make himself free to film new scenes as Superman, the bad news was that contractually he was obligated to keep the mustache needed to play August Walker in Fallout. The mustache was digitally removed in a way that left audience members wondering why it simply couldn't be shaved off.

Some fans were scratching their heads, wondering why the digital removal of a mustache was so hard. Even Deadpool made fun of it in one of the trailers for Deadpool 2. In the above meme, we see that it's not lawyers from Warner Bros. or even the fifteen blade fury of a Gillette razor blade that eventually got rid of Henry's Mission Mustache. It took the power of all six Infinity Stones to finally remove the hair from the top of Superman's lip. But could even the power of Infinity Gauntlet be enough to save us from the other problems in the Justice League film?

18 YO MOMMA

Ok, we're willing to admit it: deep down, we're still immature kids. As refined as we may come off from time to time, we love a good corny dad joke or even an inappropriate noise made by placing your cupped hand inside your armpit. We write about comic books and games, so we haven't had the chance yet to grow up! Yes, it's inappropriate and rude, but we also don't mind the occasional momma joke. We don't know how to tell you this, but your momma is so old, her social security number is one. Yo momma is so big, she puts on her belt with a boomerang.

Do we have the guts to make fun of the mom of Thanos? In the comics, his mother was an Eternal named Sui-San. When Thanos was born, she was horrified by his appearance and tried to kill the newborn infant. Given his mother issues, we think it's best not to poke fun at him, regardless of whether or not he's in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet. Since we know neither you or your mother is in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet, you're fair game! Speaking of the Infinity Gauntlet, yo momma so dumb, she challenged Thanos to a snapping contest!

17 GO GET 'EM, BOYS

Thanos sent Cul Obsidian and Ebony Maw to Earth to obtain the Time Stone from Doctor Strange. With the help of Spider-Man and the Cloak of Levitation, Iron Man was able to defeat Ebony Maw aboard his spacecraft. Although Doctor Strange asked for Tony Stark to turn the spacecraft around and head back to Earth, Iron Man's plan was to stage an ambush on the homeworld of Thanos since it was something he wasn't expecting. It takes some convincing, but eventually Strange agrees to the plan, and the heroes engage in a fight not only for their lives, but for the lives of the trillions of people Thanos plans on eliminating. Unfortunately, things don't go according to plan.

Thanks to Peter Quill, the attack on Thanos failed and after Iron Man is severely injured, the Mad Titan makes off with the Time Stone and heads to Earth to collect the Soul Stone. Thanos assembled all of the Infinity Stones on his Infinity Gauntlet and one finger snap later, half the population of the universe was killed. The above meme shows just how quickly plans can fail. In this meme borrowing from Tom and Jerry, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange get ready to give Thanos a galaxy-sized beat down, but in the end Iron Man finds his plans, as well as his teammates, turn to ash.

16 FLAVORTOWN IS ON TITAN

When people started disappearing at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man's spider-sense warned him that oblivion was coming to get him. Filled with fear and dread, he grabbed onto his mentor and told Tony Stark that he didn't want to go. Both men cried and held each other as Peter turned into dust and died on a planet far, far away from his friends and family. Could there be anything more worse than the cold embrace of oblivion? According to the above meme, there is one horrible location, and that place is Flavortown, courtesy of celebrity chef Guy Fieri.

For a time, Guy Fieri had a restaurant in New York City called the American Kitchen & Bar. It infamously received a scathing review by the New York Times, with one food item being critiqued as tasting like "chewy air" with other food items on the menu being "deeply unlovable." Fieri wants to take people to "Flavortown" but based on the reviews of his restaurant, it would take the power of the Infinity Gauntlet to force people to go there. Based on the above meme, sending people to Flavortown would be like a one way ticket to Oblivion, sans tasteless nachos.

15 PERFECT BALANCE

In the post-credit scene of Avengers: Infinity War, we see Nick Fury activate a pager-like device that sends a signal to Captain Marvel. The Captain Marvel movie comes out in March 2019, giving people plenty of time to come up with Captain Marvel theories based on promotional materials and photos taken by fans. There have been great promotional photos showing Brie Larsen working out and getting pumped to play Carol Danvers. Photos also have made the rounds on the internets that happen to compare set photos the posteriors of Brie Larsen and Tom Holland while they're waiting between takes.

In the above meme, we see Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet in a way that we haven't seen before. He's used the Power Stone to defeat the Hulk, the Reality Stone to defeat Doctor Strange and the Time Stone to prevent the destruction of Vision by the Scarlet Witch. This time, Thanos has used the Infinity Gauntlet to switch the lower halves of Spider-Man and Captain Marvel. Presumably, this was done by using the Reality Stone. Perhaps they didn't need help from Thanos and just decided to swap pants. We'll have to wait until Avengers 4 to find out! Avengers 4: The Case of the Swapped Trousers!

14 NOOOOO! NOT THE COLONEL!

Thanos made the claim that he was going to eliminate half of the population of the universe, but is he only limiting that number to superior life forms like humans, Asgardians, Kree and the like? What about smaller creatures like rabbits and mice? Was this why Rocket Raccoon was spared? With the population being halved, does that mean places are being overwhelmed by critters and smaller animals now that there are less predators to hunt them? Locusts may not be people but they still eat crops and can cause more damage to a place's food supply than overpopulation. What about dogs and cats? What about chickens?

In the above meme, not only do we want to know about the welfare of animals after Thanos snapped his fingers, so does the Colonel. The KFC icon has dedicated himself to making finger lickin' good food, but if the population of chickens in the world have been compromised, can he still deliver on his tasty promise? Colonel Sanders was a real person named David Harland Sanders who lived from 1890 to 1980, but if he were alive today, there's a good chance that neither the Colonel nor his food product would stand the wrath of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.

13 WE FEEL YOU, ROCKET

At first glance, the book by Avery Monsen and Jory John seems a bit morbid. All My Friends Are Dead takes a look at situations in which characters find themselves alone. When you're a dinosaur, all your friends are probably dead. When you're a tape cassette, all your friends are obsolete. When you're a jug of milk, all of your friends expired on Tuesday. In Avengers: Infinity War, Thor tells Rocket Raccoon that he doesn't have anything else to lose, and when he walks away, Rocket mutters to himself that he has plenty to lose. At the end of the film, his sentiments couldn't have been more true.

At the end of Infinity War, a great number of our favorite Marvel characters turn to dust and disappear. Rocket, who tries to act tough in front of his friends, breaks down and cries when he has to see his friend, Groot, die a second time. Plus, it's only a matter of time before he learns that, while on Titan, his teammates Quill, Drax and Mantis are dead. His other teammate, Gamora, was sacrificed by Thanos on the planet Vormir so that he could obtain the Soul Stone. Sorry to hear about your losses, Rocket.

12 GOODBYE, CANADA

Canada, the northern neighbor to the United States, always seems to get made fun of by Americans. The crowdfunded film Super Troopers 2 involved the shenanigans of former members of the Spurbury Police Department, played by the comedy team Broken Lizard. The former officers take over for Royal Canadian Mounted Police after a town in Canada became property of America. The film poked fun at some Canadian customs, accents and even Mounties. Sure it's all in good fun, but it's always good to be kind to a neighbor. Upon closer inspection, it seems like Canada might need help from the United States for other reasons.

There are lots of memes depicting people and objects disappearing into fragments, simulating what happened after Thanos snapped his fingers and did away with half the galaxy's population. Based on the geographical layout of Canada, it appears at first glance that Canada, in fact, is disappearing like so many people did at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. In the above meme, Canada says that it's not feeling very good, but that might be due to the results of the 2018 G7 meeting in Quebec, opposed to the actions of the Mad Titan.

11 FINALLY ADMITTING HE WAS WRONG

While formulating a plan on Titan on how to beat Thanos, Doctor Strange took the initiative and used the Time Stone to look into the future and see what the possible outcomes are of their upcoming battle. After looking at literally millions of outcomes, Strange only found one in which the Avengers were successful, however that outcome was never revealed to the audience. During the battle with Thanos, Spider-Man and Iron Man almost succeed in completely removing the Infinity Gauntlet from the left hand of Thanos, however Quill goes berserk after learning Gamora has died and frees accidentally frees Thanos when he attacks him.

Considering that Doctor Strange saw 14,000,605 outcomes of their battle with Thanos, did he NOT see the version where Quill punched Thanos in the face and broke the paralysis hold Mantis had on the Mad Titan? Perhaps the good Doctor isn't as detail-oriented as we all thought and just spot-checked to see if the heroes won without looking at the finer details of each outcome? Here in the above meme from Parks and Recreation, we see Chris Pratt not as Peter Quill but as Andy Dwyer, and regardless of what character he's playing audiences finally get the apology that they've been waiting for. Yes, Quill, your bad indeed.

10 STILL A GOOD PLAN

If you're a fan of the 2010 film Despicable Me, you might have liked it due to the cute little yellow minions running around causing trouble. You could have also been a fan of their leader, the supervillain named Gru, voiced by Steve Carell. In the film, Gru's plan is to steal a shrink ray and then use it to miniaturize the moon so that Gru can steal it. That gives you an idea of just how diabolical and utterly impossible his plans were. While explaining his plans as elaborately drawn out images on a large easel, he comes across one image of him that appears drawn by a child of him pooping on a toilet. It clearly breaks the flow of his presentation.

A four panel meme was made out of the scene from the film in which during a presentation a character realizes three-quarters of the way through it that the outcome is not what he wanted. For example: one meme depicts Mario who has successfully saved the Princess from Bowser. The second panel says he's hosting a go kart tournament. The third panel reveals he's invited Bowser to it, with the fourth panel focusing on him realizing he invited a kidnapper to a race with the person he initially kidnapped. In the above meme, Thanos, after realizing the scope of his plans, smiles when he realizes that he's got no problems with what he wants to do. Take that, Gru!

9 BUT WHY?

Just because you don't understand The Eric Andre Show doesn't mean you can't like The Eric Andre Show. The Adult Swim show is a surreal comedy in which almost every episode starts out with Andre literally destroying his own set and assaulting members of his band. He sits down in his chair exhausted from the set thrashing, and seconds later the set is rebuilt around him. After the set is reassembled, his sidekick Hannibal Buress walks out to fake applause. In a segment that became a popular meme, Andre talks about climate change, then pulls out a gun. After riddling Hannibal's body with bullets, he looks at the audience and innocently asks: Who shot Hannibal?

In a variation of the popular meme, Eric Andre and his gun have been replaced with Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos uses the Gauntlet to put an end to Andre, but then asks the audience why would resource scarcity do this, making reference to the motivations of Thanos in the first place. Thanos was concerned with universal balance and thought that by killing trillions resources wouldn't run out and people wouldn't starve. The idea is a brutal one, and makes as much sense as gunning down Hannibal, only to ask what just happened. It's a funny meme, but it's sad we had to lose Hannibal in the name of comedy. Seriously though, who did kill Hannibal?

8 BE GONE, VOLDEMORT!

When it comes to the most popular film franchises of all time, the Harry Potter movie series ranks third. All of the Harry Potter films starting with the 2001 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone all the way to the 2011 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 have grossed over 8 billion dollars worldwide. With the sequel to Fantastic Beasts coming out November 2018, there might be enough momentum to take the number two spot from the Star Wars franchise, but not enough to come near the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, which is sitting pretty at $16 billion worldwide.

When it comes to magic in the Marvel Comics Universe, audiences were introduced to it in the 2016 film Doctor Strange. In the comics, the Scarlet Witch has used magic but her cinematic counterpart's powers come from exposure to the Mind Stone. We don't think Harry Potter will be joining the ranks of the Avengers anytime soon, but if you look at the final battle between Harry and Voldemort, Voldemort's death looks a lot like he was one of the unlucky souls that Thanos turned to dust after snapping his fingers at the end of Infinity War. Could the Infinity Stones also be Horcruxes?

7 WHICH ONE OF THESE IS HAWKEYE?

Avengers: Infinity War is oddly enough not based on the Marvel crossover Infinity War. It is much closer to the events Thanos Quest and Infinity Gauntlet. In Thanos Quest, the Mad Titan collected all six of the Infinity Stones (referred to as Infinity Gems in the comics) without any help from the Black Order. Once assembled, he used his newfound powers to eliminate every other being in the universe in the opening events of the series Infinity Gauntlet. After snapping his fingers in the comic, people simply vanished from existence. In Avengers: Infinity War, the Russo Brothers decided to go with a more cinematic effect.

In IW, a person that is disappearing, thanks to the Infinity Gauntlet, turns into ash and is dispersed by the wind. This makes for a more visual, tragic ending for our heroes, as opposed to them simply disappearing. Bucky turned to dust and dropped the gun that he was holding. When Doctor Strange was embraced by oblivion, even his Cloak of Levitation turned into ash. The above meme pokes fun at the fact that pretty much every one of our favorite superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe quite literally bit the dust. We like number three the best. Isn't that Hawkeye? Aww, too soon?

6 INFINITY GAUNTLET: MILLENNIUM ADDITION

At CBR, we often write about who the strongest superheroes are, but what about in real life? Are we measuring power based on physical strength, political clout or the amount of cash that a person is worth? Let's look at Bill Gates, shall we? Forbes magazine has ranked him as the richest person in the world over half a dozen times. As of 2018, his net worth was around 93 billion dollars, second only to Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos (worth over $100 billion as of 2018). Given the money, power and his ties to Microsoft, does he even need an Infinity Gauntlet to be the most powerful creature in existence?

Here in the above meme, Bill Gates has made off with the Infinity Gauntlet. Keep in mind that Bill Gates is a benevolent man, having created the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Giving Pledge as well as other charitable organizations that have given billions of dollars to such causes as fighting polio. So what will he do with the Gauntlet? The meme pokes fun at the design of the operating system Windows 98, which looks like Thanos made it disappear. Gates using the Gauntlet to make it disappear could be a good idea: like most programs of the era, it had bugs in the programming relating to the Y2k problem. For those that don't remember, the Millennium bug was a flaw in some programs that would make the internal clock on machines think that after 1999 would be the year 1900.
