Women of the MCU Assemble for 10-Year Anniversary Photo

The women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have come together for a single photo that assembles the MCU’s fiercest warriors. The picture was snapped at a massive Marvel Studios get-together back in October, which was organized by the studio’s president, Kevin Feige, to celebrate the MCU’s ten-year anniversary. Some of the film series’ biggest names were there, and one attendee was able to snap a picture of the eight actors.

The picture assembles, from left to right, Zoe Saldana (Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel in the upcoming Captain Marvel), Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow, first introduced in Iron Man 2), Danai Gurira (Okoye in next year’s Black Panther), Karen Gillan (Nebula, most recently seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Evangeline Lilly (who will take on the role of the Wasp in Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Pom Klementieff (introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).

The photo was taken by Craig Kyle, whose contributions to Marvel Comics include creating the Wolverine clone X-23, played by Dafne Keen in this year’s Logan, and co-writing Thor: Ragnarok. A recent article revealed that the storylines of many MCU heroes would be ending with next year’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie. The film opens May 4, 2018.
