While Avengers: Infinity War has dominated the box office, the film has also prompted many questions from fans. However, some of the more audio-centric members of the crowd have been asking director James Gunn what his song choices were for the introduction to the Guardians of the Galaxy.
In the film, the Guardians of the Galaxy are introduced flying through cosmos to the tune of "Rubberband Man" by The Spinners. However, that wasn't the only song Gunn suggested to Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Gunn revealed on his Facebook page a list of songs that were considered for the introduction sequence, with "Rubberband Man" at the top.
The song list went as follows: "Rubberband Man" by the Spinners, "Draw the Line" by Aerosmith, "Train in Vain" by The Clash, "Caught in a Dream" by Alice Cooper and "New York Groove" by Ace Frehley.
Gunn also went the extra mile by combining these five songs into a Spotify playlist titled, "Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix 2.1," so fans of his choices can listen to their heart's content. While the other four songs did get left out of Avengers: Infinity War, many fans on Gunn's page agreed that "Rubberband Man" was the best choice for the film.
In theaters now, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, and Josh Brolin.
