The relationship between Gamora and her adoptive father Thanos is even more complicated than depicted in the theatrical version of Avengers: Infinity War.

A new deleted scene from the Marvel Studios blockbuster provides an extended version of an existing scene between Thanos and Gamora as the Mad Titan uses the Reality Stone to recreate a happier time from the father and daughter's past.

"After my planet died, I had nothing. No one. And I thought I never would," reveals Thanos in a quiet moment Gamora. "And then I found you and, at my side, you became the fiercest woman in the galaxy.

"Everything I hate about myself comes from you!" shouts an angry Gamora, years of pent-up rage and regret coming to surface.

While the special effects in the deleted scene are unfinished, they offer a glimpse at how Thanos shaped Gamora into the cold killer she was when she first appeared in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy and how heartbreaking it was for the Mad Titan to ultimately sacrifice her in exchange for the Soul Stone later in the Avengers film.
