Recently reported comments by Thanos co-creator Jim Starlin that 30 minutes of the Mad Titan's backstory was cut from Avengers: Infinity War fueled widespread speculation that the footage might be included on the home release. However, newly surfaced Blu-ray details for the Marvel Studios blockbuster suggest otherwise.

A leaked breakdown indicates fans can look forward to 45 minutes of extras, primarily featurettes, with just three deleted scenes -- accounting for about five and a half minutes' worth of footage.

#Avengers #InfinityWar Blu-ray deets: 45 minutes of extras with 6 and a half minutes worth of deleted scenes. Had a go at translating the German titles: https://t.co/Ko0N69kQYW pic.twitter.com/7zfaZiwdqL— Anton Volkov (@antovolk) July 3, 2018

According to the translation of the German listing, the scenes are "Happy Has a Perspective," "Hunt for the Mind Stone" and "The Guardians Find Their Groove." The latter is presumably the "really funny Guardians scene" previously referenced by directors Joe and Anthony Russo. “It was just this absurd scene of the Guardians not knowing where to go,” Anthony Russo explained. “And it was really fun, and it was very endearing to us. But because the movie is so big and so propulsive, it just wasn’t quite pushing us where we needed to go.”

However, as you can see from the listing, there isn't an extra 30 minutes of Thanos to be found.

Co-writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus characterized Infinity War as Thanos' film, but for the Marvel Cinematic Universe origins of the Mad Titan, fans will apparently have to be content with the upcoming tie-in novel, Thanos: Titan Consumed, by Barry Lyga.

Still in theaters, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin.
