Infinity War & Black Panther Win Big At People's Choice Awards

Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War was named best movie and best action movie of the year Sunday during the 44th annual People's Choice Awards.

Black Panther was recognized for individual performances, as lead actor Chadwick Boseman won best male movie star for his role as T'Challa, and Danai Gurira took home best action star for her role as Dora Milaje general Okoye. Scarlett Johnson was also recognized as best female movie star for her performance as Black Widow in Infinity War.

The annual awards, broadcast on E! for the first time, are selected through online voting, and cover film, television, music and popular culture.

Marvel's fingerprints were noticeable beyond the wins by Infinity War and Black Panther, however, with Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. nominated for male movie star for their roles in Infinity War, and Hemsworth and Boseman also up for best action movie star.
