The Russo Brothers' Avengers: Infinity War has gotten the Black Mirror treatment, as the supersized superhero ensemble undergoes a Bandersnatch makeover in a hilarious new video.

For those who haven't yet tuned into Netflix's latest arrival, Charlie Brooker and David Slade have revamped the "choose your own adventure" formula for the 21st Century. It might seem like a stretch to connect Bandersnatch to the box office blockbuster that was Infinity War, but one fan imagines how different the third Avengers movie could've been.

Posting on Reddit, anilsoi11 reimagines the iconic Battle on Titan scene and the moment that Star-Lord let Thanos get away. Although the clip gives the option to stay calm and save the universe or "ACT LIKE A F***CKING IDIOT," Infinity War fans will know what happens next. Instead of ripping the Infinity Gauntlet off Thanos' hand and stopping the Mad Titan in his tracks, Peter Quill let his emotions over the loss of Gamora get in the way and ultimately paved the way for "The Decimation."

Infinity War Bandersnatch parody

Bandersnatch is a feature-length episode of Black Mirror where viewers are given two options and a 10-second countdown before their chosen scenario plays out. Bandersnatch has multiple endings and repeatedly forces the viewers to "go back" and try again. Coincidentally, 2019's Avengers: Endgame is rumored to include some sort of time travel trickery, where the surviving Avengers head back and stop Thanos gathering the Infinity Stones.

While it's just a bit of fun, the Bandersnatch idea could be applied to the rest of Avengers: Infinity War. Imagine a scenario where Scarlet Witch had destroyed the Mind Stone before Thanos got his Gauntlet on the Time Stone or an option where Thor aimed for the head.

Black Mirror is known for its meta take on modern society and its bleak endings. However, this pales in comparison to seeing half of Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the population of the galaxy turned into piles of dust. Here's hoping Avengers: Endgame doesn't continue taking a leaf out of Brooker's book and is a little more cheery. Avengers: Endgame will arrive on April 26, 2019.
