Last summer, Infinity Train premiered on Cartoon Network to a stellar reception. Soon thereafter, the series was greenlit for a second season, which premiered in January of 2020. Then, after two successful seasons, the third season of Infinity Train made the move to HBO Max ahead of its premiere earlier this month.

Infinity Train has been met with a lot of praise, which explains why it keeps getting renewed and made the big move to a streaming service. However, according to a recent tweet from series creator Owen Dennis, the show may be in trouble if Season 3 doesn't get enough traction on HBO Max. "And we can make more, *IF* we get the views," Dennis explained "Right now, our whole crew was laid off and they all got new jobs. They wanna make more, I'd like to make more, so we have to watch the show and get other people (especially teens and young adults) to also watch the show on HBO Max."

Infinity Train is a show that deserves more seasons. It has a unique premise where characters board the train, are given a number, explore and can leave the vehicle once their number hits zero. This premise shows the characters finding out a lot about themselves, and is an enthralling journey from start to finish. Each season follows a different cast of main characters, different train cars and different narratives. So, with this anthological nature, theoretically, Infinity Train could go on forever.

There are recurring characters and themes throughout each season, though, so it's a show that any new viewer should start from the beginning. That way, they would be able to become familiar with all the likable characters that have already been introduced, including Tulip, One-One, Atticus, Jesse and Lake. There have also been many different train cars that viewers can explore, from the beautifully-designed crystal car to the thought-provoking map car. If the series were to continue, the possibilities of new characters and cars are seemingly endless, and there's no telling how imaginative they can get.

It's easy for a show that continues for a long time to start to feel dull. However, with so many different possibilities for new and unique characters, cars and stories, Infinity Train has the ability to never get stale. It manages to stay fresh because new ideas are implemented and executed to perfection. The show may have only been on for three seasons, but it feels like it's been around for much longer, which gives off the idea that it still has a lot left in the tank.

There have been many cartoons throughout the years that showed creativity and imagination, but not in the same way as Infinity Train. There aren't many cartoons that are split up into different seasons, or "books" as they're referred to here, that have them be mostly separate from one another yet still maintaining an overarching story. It's because of this fresh take on the medium that Infinity Train deserves to be renewed for more seasons. Hopefully, its wonderful visuals, diverse cast and interesting premise will draw new viewers in to watch the show on HBO Max. That way, it'll continue to be renewed until the series comes to a conclusion or the creators feel as if it's run its course.
