We really need the Avengers: Infinity War movie to be here as soon as possible. MCU's largest spectacle yet is set to hit the theaters on Star Wars Day, May 4th, 2018 and we couldn't be more hyped about it. The promotional images and the trailer made sure that the fans are absolutely ecstatic about the biggest MCU superhero team-up. But apart from the official images and videos constantly reminding us of Avengers: Infinity War, there are also tones of incredible fan art pieces depicting the heroes, the villains and the item at the center of all the mess - the Infinity Gauntlet.

The infamous Infinity Gauntlet is used to channel the power of the Infinity Stones. Over the years, in various MCU movies we have encounter various Infinity Stones. While Thanos does have possession of the Infinity Gauntlet he doesn't have all the Infinity Stones. Yet. However, artists have made incredible pieces of fan art featuring Thanos with all of the Stones adorning his Gauntlet. Others, wondered what other characters would do with the Infinity Gauntlet and made cool artwork featuring various fictional characters with the Infinity Gauntlet. If you too are fascinated with this fancy glove, we have 17 amazing pieces of Infinity Gauntlet fan art just for you.

17 THE LAST PIECE

Thanos Infinity Gauntlet Gems

It’s perfectly OK to have hobbies. In fact, it is even recommended that you do. One of the most popular kinds of hobbies is collecting certain items. Some people collect stamps, others collect action figures, and so on and so forth. Thanos, on the other hand, collects Infinity Stones, which is a very dangerous occupation.

The Mad Titan Thanos has but one true wish, to collect all the Infinity Stones, put on his Infinity Gauntlet and receive unlimited power. The Avengers: Infinity War trailer showed Thanos with two Infinity Stones already on his Gauntlet -- the Power Stone and the Space Stone. The artist behind this mind-blowing piece of fan art, Tanus Eduardo Gemelli, gave Thanos all six Infinity Stones. Judging by this artwork the Mad Titan will acquire the Reality Stone last.

16 DARTH VADER

Darth Vader Infinity Gauntlet

Let’s just agree that although the idea of Darth Vader with the Infinity Gauntlet is amusing, it’s probably for the best if this never happens. Giving the weapon of ultimate destruction to the Dark Lord who’s hellbent on destroying planets doesn’t really seem like a smart decision. However, as long as it’s only fan art, we can enjoy Darth Vader with the Infinity Gauntlet.

Artist Greg Golem is the man behind this cool piece of artwork and according to him the reason this fan-made cover exists is because he loves drawing ridiculous stuff. But we don’t think this fan art is ridiculous. It’s Darth Vader with the Infinity Gauntlet for God’s sake -- a match made in heaven. Or in the deepest darkest end of the Force.

15 MAD TITAN THANOS

Mad Titan Thanos

It’s been five years since we first caught a glimpse of Thanos in Marvel’s The Avengers during the mid-credits scene. Referred to as the Mad Titan by the galactic community, Thanos is a powerful cosmic ruler whose greatest goal is to obtain the Infinity Stones, which has led him to form alliances with Loki and Ronan the Accuser. However, his reliance on allies and his minions came at a cost and now Thanos has decided to go after the Infinity Stones himself.

In May 2018, we’ll finally get to see how Thanos’s arrival on Earth will play out in Avengers: Infinity War. Until then, all we can do is admire the amazing fan art artists all around the world have so masterfully created. The awesome artwork you see above was done by the incredibly talented Matt DeMino. Thanos looks quite content with the Infinity Gauntlet, probably plotting something sinister.

14 JAR JAR BINKS

Jar Jar Binks Infinity Gauntlet

Over the years, a number of Marvel heroes and villains have had the honor to put on the Infinity Gauntlet. On top of that, a DC Comics character, Darkseid, has also had the pleasure of donning on he iconic weapon. However, no one from the Star Wars universe has ever had the chance to use the Infinity Gauntlet. The artist behind this amazing piece of fan art, Scott Blair, obviously thought this needed to be corrected and hence this variant cover emerged.

Apparently, Scott thought that the ideal holder of the Infinity Gauntlet would be Jar Jar Binks. In case you didn't know, Jar Jar is probably the most hated character from the entire Star Wars franchise. And given Jar Jar’s reputation it’s safe to say that if he ever gets hold of the Infinity Gauntlet we’re all doomed.

13 BATMAN V. SUPERMAN

Superman v. Batman

Being a billionaire playboy trained in multiple forms of martial arts is impressive without a doubt, however, it’s hardly enough when you’re going against the Man of Steel. In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, in order to be able to fight Superman on equal ground, Batman had to wear a custom-made Supesbuster armor. But, what if Bruce had some outside help in his clash with Supes? The Infinity Gauntlet seems like a pretty useful accessory.

Artist Wizyakuza created this amazing piece of fan art featuring Batman with the Infinity Gauntlet ready to give Superman the beating of a lifetime. The Infinity Gauntlet is capable of many incredible feats and it would undoubtedly work on the Man of Steel. Although, one could say it would be a bit of an overkill.

12 THIS CAN’T END WELL

Deadpool Infinity Gauntlet

Deadpool is hardly the kind of person you would trust with an all-powerful weapon such as the Infinity Gauntlet. With all the crazy stunts he’s pulled over the years, we wouldn’t trust him as far as we can throw him. However, it would be fun to see what kinds of shenanigans Deadpool would get himself into with the ultimate weapon at his disposal.

But we’re not the only ones curious about what Deadpool would do with the Infinity Gauntlet. Artist Casey Landreth who created this hilarious piece of fan art seems to be wondering the same thing. For now, Deadpool just seems to be having some harmless fun, but who knows what could occur to him in just a matter of seconds. But this is definitely an interesting concept to ponder about.

11 WE'RE DOOMED

Doctor Doom Infinity Gauntlet

Much like the rest of the Fantastic Four gang, Doctor Doom hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to live-action adaptations. However, now that the Fantastic Four are back in Marvel’s hands, Doctor Doom may get a third chance on the big screen. But even if he does appear in the MCU it is doubtful that he’ll get to put on the Infinity Gauntlet.

Even though, Doctor Doom is one of the characters that have used the Infinity Gauntlet in the comics. In fact, Doctor Doom used the Gauntlet and his doppelgangers to build his Parliament of Doom, in the image of the International Council of Reeds. This cool piece of fan art was created by Eren, a freelance digital artist from Turkey. His Doctor Doom looks very sinister with his new fancy glove.

10 OP NARUTO

OP Orange Lantern Infinity Gauntlet Naruto

Combining powerful items and characters from different worlds almost inevitably leads to something awesome. Here we have Naruto who is also the Orange Lantern wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. Talk about OP. Not only is he a master ninja, he’s equipped with a Power Ring and the Infinity Gauntlet containing all six Infinity Stones. Even for a shounen anime hero this is just a tad too much.

Imagine what this Naruto could do? That would be an interesting filler episode. Some kind of an alternate universe where Naruto comes into possession of some of the most powerful weapons in Marvel and DC Comics. Now who wouldn’t wanna see that? Granted it could also work in a fighting game. Artist Jack Crowder may have given a very good idea to aspiring video game creators.

9 ADMIRING THE GAUNTLET

Admiring The Gauntlet

Judging by the Avengers: Infinity War trailer, the Mad Titan Thanos is already in possession of two Infinity Stones. The Space Stone which was previously powering the Tesseract and was possibly given to Thanos by Loki. As well as the Power Stone which the Guardians of the Galaxy turned over to Nova Corps in the first Guardians movie.

The remaining Infinity Stones are scattered all around the MCU and it will be interesting to see how Thanos plans to get his giant purple paws on them. The Mind Stone is currently in the possession of Vision, the Collector has the Reality Stone, the Time Stone is with Doctor Strange, while the location of the Soul Stone remains unknown. Steven Lange’s artwork shows Thanos admiring his Infinity Gauntlet with all of Infinity Stones, something we'd kind of like to see in the movie.

8 THANOS AND HIS TROPHIES

Thanos and His Trophies

Avengers: Infinity War is probably the most highly anticipated movie of 2018. The trailer has everyone hyped for the MCU heroes biggest team-up yet. However, as much as we are excited we are equally terrified because we know that not all of our heroes will emerge unscathed from the clash with Thanos. There are lots of theories about which hero will be taking a bow come May 2018.

According to the speculations, among those most likely to die are Winter Soldier, Iron Man, Loki, Vision, Captain America and Pepper Potts. However, if this piece of incredible fan art by Jay Peralta is to be trusted Thanos will reign after having killed Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and quite possibly everyone else. With the Infinity Gauntlet on his left hand, Thanos admires one of his battle trophies.

7 ROCKET RACCOON

Rocket Racoon Infinity Gauntlet

While the MCU movies always had lots of humor, it was the Guardians of the Galaxy who took this comedic aspect of the MCU to the next level. Among the movie’s most entertaining characters is the wisecracking raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper. In the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Rocket Raccoon sends the rest of the Guardians to collect items he needs to orchestrate their escape from prison. Among those items is a prisoner’s prosthetic leg, which as it turns out was wasn't even needed.

This became a kind of a running gag and in the second Guardians movie, Rocket Raccoon attempts to pull the same prank on a guy with an artificial eye. In case you were wondering how the heroes plan to get their hands on the Infinity Gauntlet, here’s your answer. Artist Rick Celis painted a hilarious picture of Rocket’s encounter with Thanos.

6 INFINITY GAUNTLET, THE NATURE EDITION

Infinity Gauntlet Nature

It’s a hard to remember a fan art list that didn’t include at least one piece by the amazingly talented Bosslogic. This incredible Australian artist has created countless jaw-dropping pieces of fan art, including this unique take on the Infinity Gauntlet. In 2016, Bosslogic entered his "Found Infinity" piece into the Desktopography project, a place where you can find awesome nature and topological wallpapers.

According to the artist, this wallpaper reflects "what happens when you try to create a personal piece but you love Thanos." Due to the nature theme that dominates the piece, Bosslogic’s take on the Infinity Gauntlet is truly unique and makes for an awesome wallpaper. Although this mashup may seem unconventional at first, both the Infinity Gauntlet and mother nature are beautiful and scary forces.

5 THANOS V. DARKSEID

Darkseid v. Thanos

In Kurt Busiek and George Perez’s JLA/Avengers (2003), the worlds of Marvel and DC must compete against each other in a duel between universes. Powerful items from both worlds are scattered all around and each team is given a list of items they must find in order to save their universe. Naturally, one of the items the Avengers were tasked with finding was the Infinity Gauntlet.

Unfortunately for them, the Gauntlet somehow ended up on Apokolips in the hands of the evil ruler Darkseid. Given that Darkseid’s plan has always been to conquer the universe, he’s hardly the guy you want playing around with the Infinity Gauntlet. However, since the Gauntlet doesn't work in the DC universe, Jermais Papi created this incredible piece of fan art depicting a victorious Darkseid settled in Thanos’s throne with the gauntlet on one hand and Thanos’s head in the other.

4 THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS

Best of All Inifinity Gauntlet

Take a very close look at the insane piece of fan art you see above and name as many items or fandoms you can recognize. Did you get all of them? Hint: there are 14, including, but not limited to the double-bladed lightsaber from Star Wars, Batman’s utility belt, Thor's Mjolnir and the Infinity Gauntlet. According to the artist Andrew DeFelice, this masterpiece was his submission for a t-shirt design contest.

His intention was to cover as many genres of nerd trivia as possible in a single image. So, what you see above are Harry Ron and Hermione who have collected all of the coolest items from movies, comics and anime. If this design ever did make it on a T-shirt, we’d like to know where we can buy one, because this is crazy.

3 OP BATMAN

OP Batman Infinity Gauntlet

Batman is one of the most beloved superheroes and you’d have to be pretty hard pressed to find a comic book fan who doesn’t like Batman. Unlike majority of other superheroes, Bruce Wayne doesn’t have any superpowers, which is probably why his fans are able to connect with him on a deeper level. Because underneath the gruff exterior, Bruce Wayne is only human, just like the rest of us.

Over the years, DC Comics did introduce a number of alternate versions of the character that possessed some kind of a superpower. For example, on more than one occasion, Batman was in possession of Power Rings. Artist Rubin Pingk created an incredibly OP version of the Dark Knight by giving him not one but seven Power Rings as well as the Infinity Gauntlet. It’s safe to say, crime is no more.

2 READY FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

Thanos Baby Groot

See guys, Thanos is not scary at all. We’re all making too big a deal out of this. The big purple guy just wants to chill with some popcorn and watch the latest Guardians of the Galaxy movie. In all seriousness, this has to be the cutest Thanos has ever looked. The Mad Titan looks like one of those adorable stickers we all love to use.

Just look at this guy, he’s even made friends with Groot. Well sort of. It appears, Thanos is using Baby Groot’s head as a popcorn bowl. This really is a hilarious piece of fan art which has us wondering something we never thought possible -- who’s cuter Thanos or Baby Groot. This crazy artwork belongs to the talented Samut Prakan, an artist from Thailand.

1 TITAN FROM THE FUTURE

Josh Brolin Cable Thanos Infinity Gauntlet

Now that Disney and Fox made their deal the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool are finally at home and we can’t wait to see what that will mean for the MCU. While the reactions to the Disney/Fox deal were mostly positive, a couple of concerns were expressed. For example, if Deadpool does join the MCU, Josh Brolin will be playing two roles.

As of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Mad Titan Thanos has been portrayed by Josh Brolin. Brolin must love superhero movies and superhero movies must love him, since he was also cast as Cable in the upcoming Deadpool 2. Artist Bosslogic tweeted this amazing fan art of Cable with the Infinity Gauntlet, captioned "Titan from the future." Well, perhaps Mr. Brolin forgot which movie he was filming.
