Production on Indiana Jones 5 is reportedly underway near the North Yorkshire Moors in England. A stuntman clearly doubling for Ford had a mishap while performing a move on a motorcycle, leading to a delay. Fortunately, the driver did not appear to sustain any major injuries. The movie's crew also shot footage for a sequence at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with a steam train being retrofitted to resemble a Nazi carrier engine, complete with a swastika. Other vehicles around the area sported related historical details.

Announced by Disney in 2016, Indiana Jones 5 has seen its release date pushed back multiple times. Over the course of the film's development, Steven Spielberg stepped down as director, with Logan and Ford v. Ferrari helmer James Mangold taking his spot. This will be the first movie in the blockbuster adventure franchise that Spielberg didn't call the shots on. However, he's still serving as an executive producer and is reported to be playing a hands-on role in the film's creative process.
